It's making perfect sense to me. They'll be in the MC just long enough to put a crashing halt to the extreme jump that the GA medals were heading for. It's actually a sensible price, IMO. The benefits of a GA aren't exactly the same as other items, initially anyway. So maybe they don't so easily convert from dollars into sp. In any case, they shouldn't stay available that way too long....subeta needs a reason for people to donate real monies

LooneyLupeGirL, I of course don't know what Keith's exact intentions are but what I think he's aiming for is the idea that if more are available in the trades then it will be harder for the prices to inflate. Hopefully a good amount will stay in the trades for a while, thus preventing the price from increasing. And I guess if down the road prices get too ridiculous again then maybe the GA medals will again be released in the MC for a short time.
For those who just paid for their GA's, think of it this way...you can buy this with your sp, and hold onto it for next month! So you'll have two back to back! Wee! Party time!

One quck question. I've had a GA before, but it was only for one month and it was waaaaaaay before these medals came about. Now I just bought two. Do I have to wait until the first month is over before activating the second, or can I activate both now and get the two months back to back? Just wondering.

Keith, I just have to say thank you. Since the change in the Donation page not taking Paypal I was at a loss. I dont send money though the mail. I now have enough to hold me over. I just hope something gets fixed so I can pay wth paypal. I've been buying GA's for a year, so I deff. wanna keep buying.
LooneyLupeGirL, I think Keith just wants the price of the GAs to deflate a little bit in the trades then the GAs will no longer be avaulable in the MC. BUT, he doesn't want the price to deflate to much because then no one will be purchasing them from the donation page (after he takes them out of the MC) because they'll be able to get them very cheap in the trades. Get what I'm saying?
I'm saying that by users being able to buy them from the MC - they aren't buying them from the donation page, or paying someone onsite to.
Previously, to get a GA someone had to buy it with real money, which isn't hte case now.
If we made them cheap, no one would need buy them from the donation shop, because theyc ould just get hem for cheap onsite.
So, we couldn't make them cheap on the site - because people wouldn't need to donate to get them anymore. Which would cause a big fall in our income

I think it is just awesome Keith that you did this for everyone, seeing how it takes away from donation money for the site! I don't think anyone should complain about the price, you need to take the time to remember that by having them for sale, it will be taking money away from the Subeta site itself! I mean it cost "REAL" money to keep this site up and running. Much thanks!

Yes I realize that when they were in the donation shop and you got real money from people for them subeta made a profit... but now that people are using sp to buy them how is subeta making a profit??

The reason we made it 700k is because we want this to be the LAST STOP for users who need one, currently.
We're hoping that deflation takes over, and users start selling them for less and less (since htey obviously couldn't sell them for MORE than 700k)
ALso, remember. Subeta makes its profit from Gold Accounts, we can't just give them away.

If they cost $5 on the donation page (when they were there) .. then why are they 700K instead of 500K??
I mean most of the people based their prices like this : $5 =500K.. $10 = 1 mil and so on....
Ok yes I know there were those greedy people out there who were trying to charge like 5 mill + when the donation page was down.. but i mean dang like people could really afford that.. so they werent selling for that much.. so again why 700K .. it just seems steep to me.. but whatever..
