To keep the celebrations rolling at the Carnival, the wizard has put 200 potions into the Token Shop!

I just kept getting random events every time I clicked to go to another page. My first one was a reborn potion which I have been wanting. I finally was able to turn Alkthoron reborn. I deleted the other 6 potions/elixirs I got. I had to x out of my browser and bring up another page just to stop the random event thingies.

Thanks for the potion, Keith. You really made my day.

It's a sad way of looking at things, aimee, but I believe you're right about many people. Though I think there are some people out there that will keep their first one. I have to think that.

People are still going to be unpleased Those who didn't get one... anywhoo... I don't think the double potion deleting thing is fair, they shouldn't have been given doubles to begin with... Now people who received a not so rare potion as their event but got a spectrum or bloodred or whatever as their second are of course going to keep the more expensive one.

Melaka you shouldn't feel bad at all... you're doing a good thing by using the potion on your pet and not trying to rip someone by selling it Even if you were planning on selling it than that's your business, but don't feel bad.

I didn't say they weren't complaining, it's the way you said it all dramatically like all the "Kiddies" are now laying on the floor crying and kicking their feet cause they didn't get a potion.

I am not trying to pick a fight with you, I am just making a comment.

And no I don't no the statistics but from a lot of chatting in the forums and what not you get to know a lot of the people here and from what i've found the majority of them aren't "kiddies"

melaka sweety, don't think that! That's not being greedy at all. It sounds like you want to use it eventually for a pet. how's that bad? And so what if you want to keep it, even if it's not to use it? Feel proud you got an awesom potion. You're not trying to rip people off. You're not taking advantage of anyone.
Don't feel bad, sweetness. You have every right to own that potion.

Okee dokee Aimee. If you think cries and all the "not fair" isn't crying or whining, good for you. Makes me wonder what you thing complaining is.

If you want to think i'm kissing butt, go right ahead. I do think it was a good idea. If thinking something was good, then darn, my lips are stuck on keith's butt.

I will say however, I've had my share of absolutely hating things the admins done. Like revamps. About 80% of the time, I'm against them. I don't like the fact if they want something revamped, they'll keep shoving new versions at you until you give in.
I've learned to accept that that is how it'll go, no matter how much I whine about it.

And excuse me for assuming that the average amount of people here are in High school and college. I don't know the exact number, I'm sure you don't either, so I made a guess. Pardon me.
Though it's a bit understandable that some people can't catch a little sarcasm on the internet, since you're only reading it, so I won't hold it against anyone who got utterly offended by being called a 'kiddie'.

So once again, it would be better if everyone focused on the POSITIVE comment I gave, and the hints about the trades, rather than being a drama-monger (yes, I'm making fun NOW) and picking fights with little ol me.

Also, take purrasha's advice below me. It's a good point.

Though it's disheartening to realize all the potions have been bought up already at the Ticket Shop, does no one else realize there are other ways to color your pet? Area 62 has been very kind to me and given me 4 potins already, and the Pet Zapper, frustrating though it may be at times, is stilla fun way to get your pets changed for relatively cheap cost.

It's a game, folks, have fun with it!

Princess_Isho, your post was a bit dramatic, no one cried or whined as you have put it. There's no need for butt kissing in the comments, comments are here for exactly that... people to leave their comments. Keith can't please everyone and he probly never will, he's just trying to stableize the economy a little bit.

As for this comment: I was at WORK, and while all you little kiddies were able to get off from school and be home to enjoy grabbing one.

The majority of users here aren't "little kiddies" even those who are you have no right to point the finger at them.

Mistygou darling, thanks for focusing on only one point of my comment. However, I never said they were bad mouthing admins or the site. please don't put words in my mouth. I'm saying the constant "Not fair, no fair, make it it fair, fair-fair-fiar" begins to sound a little like waaahwaahwahh. I heard that too much at the 'day care' I use to work at.

So everyone, there MAY be another chance soon to get a potion. Some people got a message saying that have to wait 12 hours to buy another one, and this COULD be an indication that there will be more. MAYBE. I can't make a promise, cause I'm not an admin and I don't know for a fact. But check in later today and tonight just to see. we just may get our chance like the others. It can't hurt. And if it doesn't, oh well.
Take my advice on my previous comment and boycott the users who are trying to rip you off. Don't comment to them, smail or offer. Sit it out and they'll eventually do it when they realize no one wants to be cheated. Don't let them win. You've waited this long to get your pets colored. I know you can wait a bit more, if it means you won't be robbed by the greedy ones.

Princess_Isho, you shouldn't make fun of people for being upset. No one waaahed in their post. They are just sad they didn't get the chance, but that is how chance goes. We feel good when we get lucky and bad when we don't. Don't confuse letting off steam with badmouthing the site or admins. We all love it here and their pets. That is why they want the potions so bad.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

The long and the short of it is this... things -will- level out. For some, this is all still 'new news', and with all new news there is the "OMG" factor... you know, 'OMG this is sooo cool!', or 'OMG! This is so unfair!', or even 'OMG, this is ruining the site!'(Parahrased of course).

Relax, wait it out. Go and play slots for a day or two.. restock.. and don't worry about what the prices are doing, or how difficult something seems right now.

This whole site is a GAME... and as such, there is neither a guarantee that it's going to be easy, nor is there a promise that it will be totally 'fair' to all the players.

Have a little patience, understanding, and when all else fails.. duct tape. (You know, for those who cannot seem to do anything but find the negatives about any sort of change.winks)

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Lor

Everyone needs to chill out. If you don't want to buy the potions in trades for those ridiculously large prices, there has been one method throughout history that always worked. BOYCOTT it. do NOT purchase one, or attempt to purchase one. Sit it out, and the users who want 5 mil for it, will drop it eventually when they realize they will never get it. There are some who are too impatient and want SP right away, so they'll lower those prices. (I'm one of those kind. If I had a potion, I'd only sell it for 3 mil XD)

And stop ragging on poor Keith that "It's not faaaaaair. waaaahhh waaaahhh waaaaahhhh". The poor guy is doing his best.

And since when releasing those potions at that time wasn't fair??? HMMMM, from what I remember, those potions would stock at times when I was at WORK, and while all you little kiddies were able to get off from school and be home to enjoy grabbing one. Yeah, kinda disappointing to come home at 7 PM everyday and not able to ever get anything.

Plus, the ticket to token is rather a very good idea. Purchasing tickets was bothersome and restricting, too much to the point where I gave up and didn't bother with it anymore. Not many people would be able to get enough tickets before a recently released item went out of stock. This way, people can get tokens without a limit restriction, and get the chance to buy something. I've been playing for 6 months, and before this new change, I had been able to get only one item in the ticket shop ever, because buying the tickets was a hassle, or I never had enough to get something. With the new token method, I was able to buy something else. A Lily Lace for me and a friend, and it finally felt good to do it. Personally Keith, I say hooray to the new method. Instead of it taking two months for me to scrape up enough tickets, I have more of a chance to get something like everyone else.

Also as a last note: Instead of thinking about it as "what about me. poor me got no potion", perhaps you should think of the situation as, "well, at least the users who otherwise never had a chance before, finally got one now." and be a little happy for them at least. I couldn't get one, but I'm not complaining. We'll get out chance again, don't worry your pretty little heads.

Nightflame: I highly doubt this is some sort of trick to get more donations from the site. If you've been paying attention, you'll see that Keith has been trying to balance the price of tokens and the wizard quests. Just because he misjudged the reaction of the economy doesn't mean he's trying to trick anyone out of their money.

Perhaps you should offer your services as economic advisor if you think you can do a better job?

I just hope more comes out, if not I can just save up so I dont mind this.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Of course it's fair. Most big ticket shop releases happen during the same approximate times, leaving people in wonky time zones without a chance. This gave them their chance. And we were only able to purchace one potion, so there was no "buying up". Once people realize that their potions aren't selling, they'll drop their prices. All in good time.

But either way you look at it, people will complain. That seems to be very popular here.

Well, it wasn't very fair. But then people aren't fair...I doubt the folks who buy them up are thinking of fairness and letting someone else have a chance. Luckily for me, I have already colored my pets with the exception of waiting for the angelic celinox. I feel bad for those of you who were waiting for a release though, with all of your tickets. At least the ticket-token conversion should help you feel better.

I can't really see how this helped.

Sure, it helped the people who were online and were able to snag one to use on their pets.

But the people who are selling them are still charging 5mil+ even though there are a lot of them in trades.

Seems like a lot of us are going to lose money.

Like I said, this is a really sneaky way to get people to donate more.

How can potions be cheaper when tokens are going through the roof, and you limit someone to 1 potion every 24 hours?

You've hurt the economy a lot more than helped.

How about trying to fix the incredibly inflated prices on nornal items like food first? shakes head

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by covet
User Avatar

I don't think they can release more right now. Token prices have gone through the roof - even if they only released 5 potions a day for a week or something, everyone would be buying up all the tokens in preparation. And every time they do a release, this will happen to the tokens. This system really really favours the rich, and will impact most upon the poor who will take even longer to save wiz tokens now they are rarer to get and more expensive. I'm sure it will be tweaked to work in the end, but it worked great before, I thought.
