Instead of risking what could be quite a few users being frozen for not deleting their trades if they're not on in time.
It seems silly that they should lose out so badly, over something that's not even their fault.

OMG O_O I had like 80 items in trades... seems all are duplicated ... going to take a while to delete 
I had 2 planet fish before this happened x3 I recieved 4 when they were returned [as sadly mine did get duplicated o.o;] but I deleted the duplicates immediately.
Emphasized: I am not selling a duplicate, I actually have 2 planet fish. ^^

Both elixirs I had in trades got duplicated. The dupes have been deleted.

rosestem, you click on the item and each one has a "Discard Item" catagory. You ahve the choice of several things, one of them is "delete"
sighs don't worry about. david just deleted all the pillows i had and made it simple. trades pillows or ones i'd just bought, they're all gone now shrugs
deleting all the sporks one by one except the ones in her vault i have no clues if i have doubles so ive got to be on the safe side..this could take awhile..sigh..and they were for a friend,too..oy

Surely you just need to delete half of whatever you have then? If you had two, you'll now have four, so delete two, etc...

Yeah, I deleted my events before the site went down, my trade events included. But not everyone is on at 11-12 pm you know ^_~

no, the events WERE deletable, and mine are gone now. i have no way of telling what was double and what wasn't. and we're dealing in items i keep large amounts of anyways (pillows) so it's not all that obvious either
Oh, and trying to delete the events seems to take you straight to the news...another way to make sure people know to delete those extra items.

Un-deletable events are probably so people won't be able to evade them and they'll know what they need to delete for sure. In the meantime, my shop is going gallery so I won't have a page filled with events....so far I have 4 already :p

why won't the events go away?
The only event that showed up for me was an item I offered on someone elses lot. The items that I put on trades aren't shown in my events for some strange reason
If you read the actual events it tells you which items were sent back to you by NAME. No need to guess what was duplicated, the events tell you, if you take the time to read them.
oh well.. I'm just going to delete all the items I have in my inventory that I have 2 of its all junk anyways
I deleted the extra Bloodred Fester Elixir and put the other back in trades. Was I not supposed to put it back in trades?
Well, it is true that it would have messed up the economy, but imagine my shock if I hadn't visited the news page first. I would have died and gone to heaven only to be brought back down in a hard thud when Keith nuked my account for profiting from a system error. Good thing the news is the first place I visit. Don't nuke my account!

Hm. I deleted by doubles shortly after Subeta went back up, but didn't get any events at all. If that's how you're tracking the duplicates I'm worried now.

Aww. I had to delete a Bloodred Paralix Elixir and a Twilight Magnus Elixir. It wasn't pretty. xD
I have about 20 events at the top of my page that I can't remove though. Obviously it'll be fixed though, so I'm not complaining.
