Rainbows are associated with Gay. Gay before people who like the same sex partners started using it was used as another word for happiness so that Spectrum = Happy makes perfect sence to me besides there is enough unhappiness in the world what is wrong with a beautiful happy colorful pet to stare out and adore.
Now mind you this is just my opinion.
I am not wanting another battle in the News Section.

The otter was a special challenge as it doesn't really have markings to add color to.

The ruffie really would have looked unruffie if it weren't happy. Don't worry. We know montres wouldn't reduce themselves to showing proper emotion. They'll stay...stiff and somber.

I agree with Dojuka on the fact that there's not enough color on the Otter but it is so adorable either way. Spiritchan did a superb job on this pet! ^-^ If I wasn't waiting for the Montre I might get this one. :3

As for the Ruffie. It's cute. But I don't like how it looks so happy. Pets need blank faces. o.O Like the otter. ^-^ But it is a lovely piece of art.

Now just to wait for my lovely Spectrum Montre(please don't make the Spectrum Montre look super happy) x_X

My only niggling here is the otter's body - the colours are there, but only just. It's very plain - could the colours be extended over the legs a little more? D:

I must say I'm impressed overall with what the artists have done with these pets. My only small irk is the left front leg (its left) on the otter. It looks iust a little off, but it's not like it's anything unbearable.

Ruffie is adorable. And the otter's expression is perfect. The only thing I don't like about the otter is the thick 3-shaped white line going down its back. I dunno, it just sticks out a little too much. But most people won't notice it, I'm betting.
