Recently, the sound of drums has been emanating from the Omen Islands. We caught up with local resident and master face painter, Noijatat, to learn if the Islands are in their own preparations for Survival or if they’re throwing a different kind of festival...

“Ahh Survival, well we have many residents here who have emigrated from Shadowglen, and we do enjoy the traditions they have brought with them, but no, the drumming is not part of the Survival celebration. Although it does have a lot to do with surviving. Tradition. Instinct.

These things many of our companions, or pets as they are often called, have forgotten. In a world of luxury and ease, we have forgotten that we can be strong, and it is the same for our pets. They must hear the sounds of their ancestors to ignite the flame within. That is why you are hearing the drum. I have discovered a path back to our ancestors.
