tategami I'm not forsure what to suggest I would have to think about it for a while. I know the work you do is hard. If you could let us see the some of the other poses you were considering if you have any drawings you decided against. Also the more I look at the new one the more it does grow on me.

Objectivly, I can agree that the new one is better. I can certinly understand why people like it so much. I just can't personaly get past my "Ack! A ninja-turtle in a green fur coat!" reaction.

On the whole, I like it far better. The art needed an update badly, and this looks great.

My only points of complaint are pretty much ones that have been covered. I think the head should be a bit larger, the helm a bit meaner, and the tail does look a bit awkward.
<brther than that, I don't mind its prance. XD

I don't understand the whole rounded-nose = instant ninja turtle thing. Look at the whole creature. It looks fabulous.

This is wonderful, the colouring.. lineart, posing. <3 Ong, I adore it! Only suggestions I could give are to make the tails bigger and less plastered to the side and maybe.. give him a more fierce look in the face? Since.. he looks to giddy compared to the old Escalade.

I voted old. The new one is GREAT, I do admit, but again the face is a little round, and its in a strange pose.
I think the old one was cool cause it was more...spacey? robot-ish?
I do like the furry fur-ness, but maybe you could have something like the old pose... A little more tough. Yeah, tough is good, save the cutesy stuff for the ruffies. XDDD
But it IS good, it just needs a little pose change and some readjustments. The tails, like said before, seema little wierd.
But I love the shading. SHINEY! x3333

I'm very much in favor of the original. No offense, as this is a good draw, but the first is one of my favorite pets, and it would kill me to see it go. Sorry, but this is an easy no for me votes

The old one is better. I loved the first one since I saw it. This is nice, but it is NO WHERE NEAR as good as the orginal. Sorry, I just like that one too much votes old

Shoom, would you happen to have any suggestions as to what kind of pose you'd like to see? This isn't the first pose I drew it in, so I don't know if this one will change again, but I can always try to use a suggestion in one of the remaining colors.

I changed my mind I voted old I like the art a whole lot but the pose needs changed. I think if the pose was just changed slightly it would be 100 times better and would become the next pet I would adopt.

I like it but I dont know what to vote for. I think it looks kinda silly in a lot of ways his face looks just like a ninja turtle and he is holding up his leg in a posing dog in a dog show. I think I will go with new but I would like to see it more agressive. Its like the torent lost it's cuteness and went to mystic and the escalade went from mystic to cute.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this! And it really is beautiful - I agree with all the hairy turtle comments, but to me it's more a charm point than anything. XD It does look a little... showdoggy and prissy for my tastes, but that's a personal thing (like Noir, I like a wilder look). Only other quibble I have is that the tails look awkward somehow, like they're plastered against the body instead of smoothly swishing around. But those are minor complaints - overall it's a great improvement. I could never really make sense of what was what on the old one... ;

So this time I'll be going with the new. Lovely job, Tategami! bathes in the new Esca's fur

In truth, I was torn, despite that I've never had an escalade myself, I've been fond of them. Of course, there were never any elixirs so those who do own one of a different color really had to be lucky on the zapper more than anything else.

Feminine? Well, I can't say it's very like that at all. The front lifted foot seems a bit detached and the either the helmet is too big for the head, or the head is too small for the helmet... o.o

In the end I chose the new one because of the detail. Though I have to say the light tuft of fur under the chin reminds me of an old man...

Gorgeous colouring, again. :O I do kind of wish the head was a little larger so it looks more in tune with the bulk of the body. And as someone else (I think Tsume?) suggested, a 'fiercer' helmet would probably improve this revamp too. :3

Ugh; people always vote on the new ones.. it makes people genuinely believe that the old ones were genuinely bad - i'd like to point out a trend - if you guys havent already noticed; the old designs of pets were, in general, on the masculine side - while the new ones, in general, are more on the iffeminate side - if theres a vote on every one of these the iffeminate one always seems to come out on top - so why cant subeta have masculinely drawn pets?

Anyways, mortikings aren't going tobe changed anytime soon. We are updating art that needs to be updated. End of story.

I would suggest making the face/nose less round, because, as others have said, it looks like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle with fur. x3;; Other then that, I LOVE IT. <33

I love this escalade, but certian parts of it turn me off.... as a couple people said already i too wish the helmet was a bit more fierce. Also the tails still bug me.... the position of them seem uncomfortable and plastered to the side... plus i loved the tube tails (but thats a personal preference.. xD ) though i have to say the shading and art is gorgious. And the legs are my favorite part of it all.

A lovely redraw, in my opinion. The fur looks so soft, I almost wish it were real, so I could pet it. xD The only thing that confuses me are the tails. There's just something off about them that I can't put my finger on.
Still, lovely possible revamp.

If you want fierce, get a mortiking xD

It looks less flat, and the parts make more since. The old one things are everywhich way and I wouldn't even know what to do with it.

The only thing I will agree with, is the back head spikes need to be straighter and maybe a bit longer? And the face would look better smirking, less smiling.

LOL! I didn't even think of Ninja Turtles at first. Good eye Crazy. I for one, really don't like this look. Granted the old version isn't as "anime shiney" but it also doesn't look like a pampered show dog... I liked this species cause it looked a bit wild, unkept and it had huge spikes/horns... Now it looked tamed, neutered and primped like a show... thing...

I like the smoother look of the old one better... but I know not many will agree with me so feel free to ignore my opinion.

This is... interesting. It looks less like a hybrid of Entei and Tropius than before (as a friend of mine so properly described it) XD I rather like it, especially the shiny metallic helmet and the bands on the legs. It's really a unique creature, almost impossible to compare to any one existing animal. ^^

I think perhaps the head could be a bit bigger... o_O Otherwise though, this is fantastic. The Escalade REALLY needs more love, and more nice colors like Reborn, Darkmatter, Graveyard and Chibi. ^^ Though it would definately be easier to do those colors once the current version is updated. ^^
