The Snowtapult is open for business! While we hope to keep it open without any issues until Spring, something might happen during Survival because of how snowballs and hexes work. It's still some time away, but if it can't be fixed before then we will close it until after the holiday.

Have to admit, when I saw the news message I was hoping for more levels! I was sure lots of people would have reached 50,000 by now. It was so much more fun to throw snowballs years back, when they stuck for longer and you could build up layers on the chosen HA, but I do understand it would upset people who worked hard on their outfits only to have them plastered with snow. Mostly now I just chuck them at myself, but they disappear very quickly so layering is not possible.
I guess part of it is that where I live there is no snow - Subeta is my one chance! So any and all who want to biff snowballs at me, please do, I would welcome them.
And now I don't know what to vote for!

I'd have an easier time with the achievement if the cooldown for buying snowballs was shorter 😭
ive barely done any snowballs so im gonna be sending a LOT of random ones!
achievements are meant to be difficult, but in this case it's too much of a hassle for many users simply bc it's way too tedious and labor intensive. some achievements are tough and need grinding, but this one is just too much.
i do believe the 50k tier should stay in place (i.e. still exist) but not award any items, just get the achievement tier itself or maybe get a forum title for that. right now it awards a collectible item and imo it's an overkill to get a book
i think the top tier should be 100 snowballs max
Please hit me with the Icy Snowballs! They're SO pretty. I remember last year when snowballs were discontinued because of survival but someone forgot to turn them back on when survival was over. Hope that doesn't happen again. 19481/50K snowballs, it will take me forever to get the achievement.
I hope is recovering well - but should we still be expecting Mysterious Melody this season, or has it been officially tabled until next Lumi?

Been here 13 years and still only have a little over 5,000 done. This is definitely one of the most insane achievements but it's time to get serious this year!
We aren't increasing tiers. This is about decreasing them!
I am with . I remember when buying and throwing snowballs was WAY easier, and faster. If we increase the tiers, could we please take that into consideration? I am all for actually working for an achievement, but as it is now, it isn't all that fun for this gal. One, by painful one, having to throw.....not fun.
That's why I commented on what it's about, but it's worth mentioning what is being repeated over and over in the comments to see where user interest actually is. ^^
That's why we're having a poll instead of just changing the achievement without any sort of feedback. :) It's completely understandable some people who have hit the 50k don't want it to change because they achieved something ridiculously high, and that's fine.
As far as those that want to opt out, that's something I can bring up with the programmers. Again, I'm asking you to base your decision on the poll on how things are currently set up. I'm all for ideas to improve features in the future, but that's not what this is about right now.
So sorry to everyone I snowball who doesn't enjoy it, iirc I didn't do this last year so I really wanna try it out and get some achievements (so I've just been throwing it at randoms-)
As a consolation, everyone is free to fling snow at me ^-^ Yes I like to have a pretty avatar but, it's part of the fun!
I got the 50K snowball achievement. However, things were different when I did it. First we could buy snowballs in bulk (25 or 50?) and also the time limit to buy was faster, or there was no limit. Either way buying them was much, much easier! Tossing them was also easier. If one had a stack of a bunch of the same one you could just toss the first one, then keep hitting the reload button and they all counted. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was still a hassle and monotonous, but in comparison to now, it was way easier! The tiers of the achievement should reflect that - either make it easier, or reduce the numbers required.
Also throwing my name in as someone who is happy to be snowball bombarded, if anyone is looking for a specific person to direct theirs at. As someone with extreme anxiety, I'm always worried about snowballing someone who doesn't want it, so I'm here to tell y'all that I WANT IT ;)
feel free to throw any snowballs my way if anyones trying to grind the achievement! i'd love it lol
Taking away 50k isn't fair to the people who managed to throw that many already. Even if they get a special item for it and 50k is retired, I can imagine people will be upset they never got a chance to do that. So, I would just leave it as is. 50k IS nuts as hell, but who says you have to get this all done in one season?
Opting out of snowballs is a more needed alteration judging from comments here. Maybe an item could be in the millionaire center during winter that grants you immunity to flying balls lol.

The item to reflect snowballs: Buy it in the Millionaire Center for 2,500,000 sP! Drag to bottom of wardrobe list to better hide it, since it'll be layered under everything that way. ❤️

I don't bother with snowballs. Also another vote for being able to opt out.
I agree with the fact people should opt out of this. Not everyone likes their HAs punted with snowballs.
Seconding . These annoy me to no end. Not PTSD, but OCD. I work super hard on my HAs to make them perfect to me and spend CSC on them, I don't want the artwork of my HA covered up with snowballs. Please please let us opt out. You have no idea how hard I'm cringing at this.
I'm going to be in the minority here, but I'd like to see higher levels of the achievement personally. I've been done with 50K for a few years, so I don't participate in snowballs anymore.
Once again I please beg to opt out of snowballs. at one of the events for Epicon, I believe, we were able to stop snowballs by not participating. Is there anyway to please let users block being hit by them. these snowballs really bother my ptsd and the shield is okay but I don't always remember it and it's not 100 % effective. Please, I beg... please...
Bulk throwing would be great, I agree, but that's not what's on the table at the moment. Try to vote based on how the system works right now. :)
I'm throwing my voice in with the MANY others who've stated they'd like a BULK buy option. I'm less inclined to try and buy even 1k snowballs with 30 second delay and even if it was only 1 second delay, like how much time does it take to sit there and click, click, click. Not trying to be an a-hole but I have carpal tunnel bad and "making" me click even 10k times to get achievements is a LOT. Much less alone 20k, 30k or 50k. Being able to bulk buy even if its just 100 at a time would sincerely help those who might have limited clicking functions :) Though a buy 1k at a time option would be fab too :)
I agree with the bulk buying snowballs. That would help tremendously.
I'd probably be more willing to really work up to this achievement if we could bulk buy instead of having to do individual buys of snowballs. It gets very tedious, very quickly, and I have the attention span of a damn gnat, lbh. The throwing of them isn't a big issue, it's the buying of them. I don't care how the tiers are done really.
I already got 50k but I voted to make it 15k/20k. I support making anything less grindy and clicky

Thanks for considering adjusting the achievement tiers. I didn't think it was actually possible to remove tiers. Unless you're actually just going to retire the current achievement and make a new one that gives out the same prizes?
50k of snowballs in the "new system" is impossible! Lets me honest. IN the past was only refresh the page I guess, that is why people have 50k.
At moment, it is impossible D: I have 2.5k and I am so tired of it and believe, I do a lot of things to collect achieves xD But this one for me is a no-sense achieve -.- So I am happy someone is considering turning it more interesting.
I have 36k thrown so I'd be happy with that option. _
Are you asking in terms of like, will you still have the achievement? Yes! It won't grant you the current prizes again but if I add some new tiers between things just for some new prizes then you'll get those!

Thank you for this poll. I agree a Buy in Bulk feature would be nice--or to have snowballs drop from quests and/or random events after New Years. Anything to help because it's so tedious. That's compounded by the fact it's a 30 second delay in between buying snowballs whereas every other NPC shop is only five seconds. Thanks for considering revising this.
I would never reach 50k thrown, so I'm happy if things get adjusted! I've not reached the 2500 tier yet, lol
I threw all 50k :) and I know at least a few others have the 50k tier achievement as well, but I don't know exactly how many
Some people did get past 35,000! But everyone I've spoken to (discord, reached out personally, etc) they're happy to make it a little easier on users because and I were very ambitious when we set 50k.
I need a buy in bulk feature :D
Hmm, did anyone on the site get past the 35000 snowballs? 50k sounds crazy, but at the same time I'm not sure how to vote when I don't know if there are people who are actually close to achieving it.

Not an urgent request, but I'd love to have an option to enable snowballs to stay longer on your avatar! Maybe an item similar to but with the opposite effect -- letting you stack multiple snowballs instead of blocking them all.
