New Hair Layer!!!!

After much anticipation, the new Hair layer in the wardrobe is full of items! Thanks to our fabulous team of volunteers, the Head layer has been thoroughly sorted, and you will now find wigs all tucked away in their own layer. If you're looking for a new 'do to complete your look, be sure to look in the hair layer for all your needs!

I am still having a lot of issues wit it showing my items though. went to "face" put item on. went to "foreground" no items show up. go to all>all owned. no items go to all> all on site, all items on site show up. click all owned. nothing . but if i close wardrobe out go back in, i can select one layer and its back to showing i own nothing ... hoping it would fix once hair section was done. but nope, can't even go through everything . :(

I saw this earlier in my wardrobe, I automatically went to the head layer to find a wig and then realised the wigs weren't there...then I saw the hair layer, lol. I had forgotten that it was happening!

it's this one specifically -- [topic= 855592]; i remember putting tickets in to have these kinds of threads fixed (the ones that accidentally got caught by the post character limit), but i imagine we're way past being able to roll it back now ;v; i don't remember the missing half of the post very well at all, but since is inactive, it couldn't hurt to try and reconstruct it 🤔

About 20,000 items, and our volunteers went through all that in less than a week! <3

I think it's awesome that people are thinking about wardrobe layers because of this, and how we can improve them further! We're now in a good position to start really considering those suggestions! However, I'd really love if we can focus on celebrating this achievement in the comments on this news post, and have those discussions in the Suggestions forum instead. Our volunteers worked really hard, so let's keep the spotlight on their amazing achievement. :)

Hey, this is a great opportunity to revisit those ideas. We didn't have great ways to implement such overhauls in the past, but now, with the new capabilities given to us by our newer code (Subeta v2!), it makes lots of things like this quite feasible now! Feel free to start a new suggestion thread and/or ping me on a bug report about the broken one (I was not aware of that thread or that it is broken, but depending on how old it is, we might need to start a new thread anyway, I'm not sure.) :)

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why hat and head layers are seperate? Since wigs now have their own layers - and many people have misplaced these two layers - could it make sense to merge them together?

-- Check out SubetaLodge; we've implemented a number of tags for items on the face layer. For example, this is a search for facial hair items only, and these are nose-changing items only.

We know it's not quite as convenient as having this information directly in the wardrobe, but we hope you'll get some use out of it.

I thought there was already a thread for this, but guess not! I just made and stickied a megathread here for those reports: Items in Wrong Wardrobe Layer MEGATHREAD

I understand, it's not a great feeling. But if it helps - we got literally hundreds of applications (for real this community is awesome) so we had to not pick.. most of them. It doesn't mean yours sucked or anything, we just had limited positions to fill, so unfortunately we did have to turn down a lot of great applications just due to limited space.

However, this went so incredibly well, and our volunteers had a great time too - so it's likely we will be have more volunteer opportunities in the future... Keep an eye out <3

Cinnamon Ringlet and Hazel Heartstring Wig are still in the Head layer. If a designated place to post oversights like this is created, I will be happy to post that information there.

This looks great! Only thing I noticed is that Maids Wig and Blob Kitty Fangirl Wig are still listed under "Head" for me. I understand they are wigs, but it's still hair?
