Quest-a-thon: START YOUR QUESTIN

The Quest-A-Thon has officially started! You’ll have until 11:59pm on September 4 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a community.

Completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone.

We're back to square one with the site being nonfunctional. I can't even load a page without getting a 502 or 504. At this point, I don't even care about me placing in the top 100, as I'll be taking a hiatus. I'll be checking periodically to see how things are doing and will come back when you can actually be over 500 users with an event and not have the site crash every other page. It's too bad it has come to this.

On one hand, I'm sympathetic. The team is small and this isn't their main job. On the other... how is this the start of practically every event.

Are we going to get docked for quests that timed out because of errors? I had a Sarah quest that I couldn't finish because of the errors, and I really would like to make it into the top 100. I don't want this to be the quest that takes me down.

I really really don't want to make this about complaining bc I love quest-a-thon but this lag is insane???? I've wasted a good half hour refreshing on pages that won't load and I want to sleep but I also want to get in all the quests.......... like pls fix T^T

I have a question about how the top 100 is going to work. Let's say there's 50 GAs who did every quest including Sarah and 50 GAs who didn't do Sarah. Is that then the top 100? I know you said a lot of ties were going to be happening but what does that mean for the ranking? Will those first 50 people all be 1st place and the second 50 people all be 2nd place? And then it continues down with people who missed a few quests coming in 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc? Or do those 100 people fill up the top hundred and that's it? (I know this is over simplified, but I hope you get the gist of it.) I just want to know what's going to happen.

Also, can we get a ranking page during (or at least after) the QaT is over? I think it'd be real neat to see. ^^

Well, this is starting to get annoying really quick now.

I had about three or so of Quintin's Quests to finish, but when I went to get going on them, I was greeted with a white page that said "We're Temporarily Offline!" That REALLY ticked me off, because I wondered if I'd ever get to finish those quests and do the autopricing I do every day. I've been through several Quest-A-Thons in the past, and they weren't nearly as bad as this one has been...

Is there any chance the lag issues and the 502's and 504's will be fixed soon? It's making it very hard for me to do quests. I can't help but feel nervous I'm gonna lose the items I purchased when it lags out into an error message or fear losing the quest. I appreciate all that Subeta staff do for us but this is just a little ridiculous.

Yeah, this lag is just ridiculous. At least I was able to get a bunch of quests done before it really started getting bad, but I still have quite a few more left to do. :/

I had planned to activate a GA, but I wont, because I wont even be able to finish the 10 quests each and BQs tonight with this lag, even though I did more than usually in the morning already.

I understand lag when there's lots of people on or something extra put up (holiday eventing stuff) but there's really not that many people online.. bearly 600. I guess most of those are probly questing but still..

after refresh and waiting 2 min - Error 504 - nice, and again, a event start and nothing moves. is it possible we have no programmer ? is just a question, cause is not normal that no event goes on without probs or a sleeping host

Reiterating the comments about lag: pages are taking 5-10 times as long to load with 500 users online as they do with ~100 users online (in the middle of the night EST).

Another question: are items getting more expensive or are quests giving out less sP or both? I made about 2.9 million sP after doing all quests (gold account) compared to my usual 3.5 million.

It used to be we got lag when there were about 1400 users online - how come we now have lag with 500? It took me forever to do my quests. Not fun. Also some items are already getting expensive and some quests are therefore not profitable; not good on day 1. I didn't see one single Morty card, btw, anyone else?

The lag is one of the reasons why I haven't joined a subscription service yet. What are they doing with the money if it's not been used to improve the speed on the site? The lag started with only about 300 plus people and it's not getting better with 500 plus users.
