This may have already been mentioned if so I apologize, but the way he says patience is needed, along with reference to morostide, made me think that we have to wait until it starts to fight him, but someone has fought him already so maybe it's something like having a complete Jack o lantern collection? My collection is complete but I don't have a zap pet to try. If I ever decide on an available pet name, I'll add one.

At least one person has unlocked him, so it's not that.

It does at least have to do with using the zapper though, based on an official hint from staff (which was just "zap zap zap"). It may also have something to do with chibi pets since we know he doesn't like those, but there still isn't an exact solution worked out yet.

I don't have a zapper pet so I'll only want to unlock him if his stats are something my battle pet stands a chance against, which they probably aren't.

I don't think we've had any challengers you have to unlock by wearing a certain type of item or more yet this year? Maybe you have to use the zapper while doing that?

thanks that's helpful! i think i knew about most of those, so i guess the results are a lot like what i used to get from the mumblesneopets AHEM other zapper i used to use a lot XD i think i just had the perfect idea for a labrat/future experiment pet so ahh new pet time wheeee ^^

Not a full guide, but here's a few things that have happened when I used it:

changed pet to a different colour or species (not always an experiment). It usually changes either the colour or the species, not both at the same time
has fully fed a pet, or made them really REALLY happy (20/10 happiness)
the zapped pet's minion or unlocked stuff in your inventory can get turned into dust, slime or a cube.
turning the zapped pet's minion into a completely different minion
one time, it changed the pet's gender
nothing at all

i guess i gotta brush up on my zapper knowledge...is there a guide anywhere that lists possible happenings if/when i zap a pet? i've had a quick look on SL but wouldn't know which forum topic to start looking in here...and i'll also be waiting to see what the trigger is as i don't have a labrat pet either. i've only ever used the human zapper, although there's a couple of cute experiment pets so i'll probably get a labrat at some point, maybe sooner rather than later if i do for sure need to zap a pet for the trigger...

Well, since I'm not willing to zap any of my 101 pets (they're all what they're supposed to be) I guess I'll just have to hope that the sticker's gonna be somewhat affordable at some point. I'm glad that I don't care about the wig at all XD

That "fetishisation" thing is not what I was getting at. The vast majority of people I know that are into yaoi or slash are not straight. There's a lot of bi/pansexual women, lesbians, trans/nb people of all flavours, and even some gay/bi/pan men that are into it. You're assuming that the women who are talking about how hot Euclid or Ian or Jaxon are straight, but I assure you that I'm not and I wouldn't assume about any of the other ladies here (assuming they're even all ladies). I'm pan.

I also don't think you can compare "fetishisation" of fictional characters with the way many straight cis men feel free to hit on women in same-sex relationships and proposition them for threesomes even if they hardly know them. Some slash fans are obnoxious, but it's not nearly as high as the percentage of straight men who will say to your face, "That's fine, Invite her along!" when you say, "Excuse me, I'm on a date with Lisa, you know, the girl who's sitting right next to me?"

I mean if you're into the opposite sex, sure, two is twice as much fun as one, but either that stays in your own head or you get on a dating site where you can specifically find people that want to do that, don't disrespect people who are just trying to go out and have fun with their SO.

Euclid and Ian and Jaxon are fictional and are not being harmed by anyone's fantasies.

Honestly, I was just asking if there was any canon about Euclid's sexuality. He is super cute and I would probably go out with him if he were real. I might even go out with him and another man, another woman, or an nb person. But you know, not in a gross hitting on strangers who are into each other and not you kinda way?

i hate to be the bearer of bad news

but unfortunately i know one person's unlocked him and while we're not sure 100% on the details for the trigger (another person got the same kind of zap right after but no euclid unlock), it does require zapping since the unlock happened after a specific zap result
