also to be frank i think it would be better to have the gelatin war on a regular basis (like it used to be) because it gives newer battlers some more concrete goals to work towards. i had to wait two years to make my maniacal essence, just because last time i only had my phone and couldn't get three more wins on the wizards! that's silly. i like battling, i think it's fun. i want more people to enjoy battling. make the ability to earn armory staples like the essence more accessible to more people.
(and sorry, but i haven't had any particularly terrible experience with "gatekeeping battlers," and i'm definitely not one of "the same ten people who earns everything." all this generalizing is annoying as hell. i'm running around the coliseum on a shoestring budget supplemented by the occasional item loan from the very friendly and helpful battle community, thanks.)

There's no reason not to have another war next year. This false worry about too many cores going out when there's now a second weapon that requires it (and is also a wearable - which means theoretically people could want/need 3 cores to achieve 2 weapons + the wearable copy for a wardrobe) AND there were already none on the market, even taking into account how "too many" went out that time that 200 were awarded.
People who can equip the weapons made from them have already worked hard to get a pet with the appropriate stats...what is with this insane and absurd gatekeeping of something that folks need? Sorry they weren't here from day 1 amassing lots of weapons before tiers even mattered and making sure that the same 10 folks only ever have a chance at anything.
And I say this as a person who earned a core this year despite the crap timing and requirements. There's literally no reason to try to gatekeep people who've also put in the time and effort to get a pet that can wield the weapons and pretend that you're trying to maintain the value of an item that remains continuously unbuyable anyhow. You just don't want to see people have a chance at the other bosses -0-

That's not the point. I'm a battler, I'm going to participate regardless (for me it wasn't really a chore, the grind doesn't faze me any different than an RPG, but for others, it might cause burnout) My point is rather the amount of cores that go out + seeing actual new content in the form of plot bosses and whatnot. Gelatin wars should be special, or else they'd get boring quickly if they were done every year. That's why having it alternate years has been for the better.

I can't wait to fight next year! I've been grinding my pet to the bone since the gelly wars started this year. Next year I'll DEFINITELY be able to fight some of the harder hitting ones!

I had a wonderful time sending my pets into the “Gelly Wars”! 74 of my 75 each participated in at at least 5 winning battles with Mini Gelatin with 4 of them continuing up the ladder of Gelatins until they could no longer win. It was great fun! Thanks for such a wonderful event. I can’t wait for next year when all my pets will be at higher Tiers. :D
Procrastinated and only battled it for one day, netting me over 2 mil damage. I say the core is definitely achievable for me next year if I actually bother to dedicate more than one day to it!

thanks staff! excited to see what prizes are in store for us! i think i was deluding myself to think what little damage my T10 Helio managed to do against the Hydra would be enough to get me some goodies, but somehow i think there'll be stuff languishing on my wl for a while shrugs oh well. if i really wanted better prizes, i would've grinded more (but honestly, ew)...and stuffed the Healer's pockets with more of the sP i'm trying to save for those Lime contacts in the MC..i guess i'll just wait and see what i get :) i'm happy with the progress i made with the lesser dudes tho ^^ congrats to everyone who got a Core, well done! 👏

Exhausting. This is by far too much for only a week. Very tough, esp. since last year we only had to deal 5 mio to the boss. Missing the fun in it. At least 2 weekends would be fair, some people need to work :-(

Last year I did 262,387 total and this year I passed 15 million with my battle pet...not too bad.
i so far to partake in the end. Haha. I got the required 15mil then stop. Opps next year

Any notion that battling is somehow being gatekept is patently false. Over the past week we've helped dozens of people with strategy advice and weapon lends. We were helping so many people that the Battle Chat had over 1,000 new posts just this week. I spent more time helping other people than actually battling in the Gelatin War myself (you can even check my post history). We want people to succeed, but we also want their event prizes to hold value. That is not the same thing as gatekeeping. To say that battling is somehow being gatekept is a figment of the imagination.
