So what I'm getting from these comments is;

people think a site item where 250 copies were given out over 5 years ago, many of which have probably been lost to inactive accounts or other mishaps (zapper, accidental deletion, ect) should not have been re-released at all and should not be obtainable by people who were not around during that event
people think that 20k wizard tokens is a high price to pay for a very exclusive item and are putting others down for putting in the effort to save up that much by saying the price is nothing more than a contest to see who can waste the most time on this site earning money and tokens

And honestly like....y'all need to take a step away from your computers or go outside or something. Coz one of the things I love about Subeta is that they don't make things exclusive and find ways to release old items so that there are new copies floating about. For an item like this that is so sought after the price is well justified, and if you can't be bothered to take 5 minutes and do daily wizard quests and save your tokens for one or 20-30 minutes to do all the daily quests and earn 3-4mil sP per day and save up for it now that there are copies for sale in the user shops again don't put other people down. If your play style comes back to bite you when something like this comes out you only have yourself to blame, and casting it onto others who put time and effort in and then get to reap the benefits of it just shows your own laziness more than anything.

I wish I had enough tokens for the jacket but I've only recently begun saving mine instead of blowing them all on vending every day so I don't have that much, but I'm not angry about it. In fact that just gives me more incentive to keep saving, especially because I get the feeling the rest of the set is going to follow shortly through other means like BHH or CS. But just the fact that these items are going to be obtainable at all again is good enough, and I thank the staff for making the choice to not make items exclusive and keep everything obtainable, even if it is expensive!

yeah, I think they'll go with BHH for the tail and maybe horns, and crystal shop for both the contacts. Not sure if we have other limited shops. But they could put something in the recycle shop for an insane amount, like almost Ametsuchi-worthy or even higher (maybe the other item between horns and tail, since 2 items in BHH seems unlikely).

Oh haha and that's quite common, actually. I was already slotted as and other mispellings like Fernisy xD

Thank you staff for giving us the opportunity to grab a rare and previously near-unobtainable item! Judging from past news (July and Aug, 2014), about 250 of the Horns and Roses items went onto the site. In those 5 years, many are sure to have been "lost" on inactive accounts. My mistake, two of the items are available via achievement prize (although none of the wearables); the sticker is also available via the Street Team achievements.

And thank you! Finding something for the bodice for Sailor Cosmos was not easy and it's still not perfect, but I am happy that I pulled something together. Your HA is very well done, good color coordination and the hair ornaments are very nice with the hat.

Funny thing is, I had almost 100K wiz tokens rotting in my vault until I went on a giveaway spree for Beltane. Now I'm down to 20K again and that being said.., If you really feel badly about buying the jacket, I'll gladly pay you back the 20k tokens for it. the river stone is pretty, but with my schedule I doubt I'll catch another restock, so I really don't need the tokens for a while.

The jacket was part of a site event that many users felt was badly mishandled, with very limited and unclear release on the prize set. At the time the staff running the event and the users who got to put their items on-site said these things would not be available again (other than allowing one of the consumables as a very high-end achievement prize).

Ariel and Amber are trying not to tank the value of the items and thus are pricing them high or making them limited in number and distribution, since to be fair the fans of that band did work hard, but they also want the rereleases to be attainable. Some folks are still bitter the value was ever that high, others are happier that the items will be available at all, still other people are upset that their items they got from the original run might be worth less than what they paid for, and another set of folks disagree with limiting the rereleases by price or venue.

Well, I do not think I can earn 20k tokens before this one runs out in the TS... RIP that jacket.

HOW on earth do people save up so many tokens and other currencies? I mean I guess if I could do the quests every day I'd eventually get some but... I am always needing things form TS RS. xD

... I guess if I did them every single day of the month for an entire year I'd earn about 90k tokens (not having a GA). OH !! (lamenting against standard logic) The math stands to reason I should be doing them every day. BAD AMBITION. BAD.

They were prizes for a competition from a few years back, I think only the winners got them so there were very few in circulation if any, and people have been asking for them to be rereleased in some way for ages.

I have no interest in the jacket, so bought a reborn potion instead to add to my hoard. The jacket might be 20k, but no one is being forced to buy it. If you want it and can afford to, go ahead. If not, don't. Is simple enough, really. Same goes for other high-priced ts items.

Also it's good to see items retain their actual value, I was sad to see the Giltwork Mask in the CS for...the equivalent of like 2M SP, despite the effort to get it being GINORMOUS. gj, staff.

Yeah I remember when it released, I've been here for over 10 years now. I don't believe it was in the TS before, thus making it a "new TS item".

Oh well. Literally no decision Staff makes can be worse than allowing people to pay IRL money for custom pet skins and then permitting them to be submitted for Pet of the Day shrug. This just seems to be the path that Subeta is going down nowadays and it's pretty sad.
