Spectrum Hikei revamp and Blacklight Hikei!

I honestly don't know what I think of this revamp. Whilst I think it's absolutely adorable I feel like my pet stardust's personality is too different from the new look. But then, I'm also hesitant to even think about changing stardust to another species or colour.

See, part of me is like, Hikei are like horses and horses can't really sit like that... but they DO have the back end of some kind of... non-horse creature so I'm not going to nitpick. I do like the tail orb shading, but I also wish there were more stripes. Or at least that the stripes on the (very plump) belly came down farther.

Mane and ears kinda look donkeyish to me? as opposed to horse.. the swirl would be better if it was a touch less around the orbs. and it seems pink-heavy especially in the eyes? But it surely is an improvement

I also find the green orb on the tail isn't bright enough because it looks like the yellow orb.

I love the new art; however, there are a few things I'm finding a little off:

the mane is off center
the stomach is too plump
I miss the previous versions stripes because more could fit

I also think the rainbow shouldn't have gone over the back end. I find it a little distracting to those beautiful tail orbs.

I'd say it needs more stripes, narrower so more can fit, like the previous version. But love the look of them overall. And i really appreciate the detail of the glamourous hoof colours.

the shading on the tails is superb, and i love how the colors pop on the blacklight one. however, i do agree with whomever said that the spectrum aura looks like pit stink; i feel like it should begin at the hoof, not the middle of the body. after all, on most of the other spectrum pets, the aura comes from a specific area of the body, not just randomly put in the middle. overall it's a great change though, the spectrum hikei was hella old!

Eh, I'm not in love with the revamp. The pose is nice but it lost a lot of stripes, (stripes are slapdash instead of uniform too,) the mane looks coarse instead of fluffy and the rainbow just looks messy and slapped on. What happened to all the blue stripes? A single Blue Hoof isn't enough to make up for all that's been lost. And where's the purple strip that's supposed to be within the rainbow like with 90% of all other spectrum pets?

I really like this. However, does anyone else think the placement of the swirl looks like it could be pit stank? I wish it was more centered with the hoof instead of my the arm pit.

Those are adorable! But I wish we would see the revamp of some Havester colours soon... there are a couple that could use a change. I like them very much. Hopefully soon?

I'm not a huge fan of Hikei's but wow I can agree that this is a really nice improvement! The old one looked a little bubbly and strange to me, I'm liking the new one much better! Great work!

I love the new and improved Hikei, except for the rainbow swirl. I love color and rainbows and bright and cheerful artwork. However I find myself always wishing the rainbow swirl wasn't there with some spectrum / blacklight pets. I know it is part of the artwork and motion that comes with some pets (Ruffie chasing their rainbow tail for example), but the old spectrum Hikei didn't have a rainbow swirl. Now the new one has it, and it looks like a rainbow umbilical cord. Otherwise I think the new artwork is awesome as always. I love the detail of different colored hooves, back toenails and crystalline tail bobbles, are all superb.

The revamp is such an improvement, and OMG the blacklight one looks amazing! The colors really pop on it, and normally I prefer spectrum coloring to blacklight!

I loved the old one though, it was so squeezy. Tiges has been a Spectrum for years, I just changed him a few weeks ago since I'm not into the colourful thing anymore. I still miss the old DM and RB Hikei, but this revamp is really great.
