Black Friday Update

We've got a bit of an update regarding the start of the Black Friday Sale and the Custom Wearable Pawn Shop opening.

The Black Friday Sale will still start sometime in the evening on November 20th. The Custom Wearable Pawn Shop will open at 5:00pm on November 21st. We wanted to give you the heads up as to the timeframe so you can plan accordingly. Happy shopping!

Yes, it's for the BF bit. We did code so it opens right at 5, so a few other things went through. There will be a news post explaining everything tomorrow :)

Heh, seems like lots of people are in the same timezone as me (5:00pm subeta = 11:00pm my time). I'll be tired, but I'll be there!

Why is the selling part of the Pawn Shop closed? Is it going to be for the duration of BF or just the initial period? Sorry to ping you, I just didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the news posts.

they did purge it when they closed it. Whatever's in there now is stuff people have sold over the last little while for quick csc.

Thank You for telling me It does suck to know that when I buy a CW item and end up growing bored of it and then trying to sale it in my shop with no luck in someone buying it, that pawning it wouldn't be worth it at all. I'd be happy if atleast 50 csc was added to the price of pawning a CW item.

I wouldn't count on the Pawn price being raised. I'm pretty sure it's set up the way it is now because people were sometimes able to make small amounts of profit in the past by buying up items and reselling to pawn, so they had to make it so the lowest pawn shop price to buy was still higher than the amount of CSC you could get back for an item.

It sucks, but unfortunately I don't see it changing, especially with the shop opening for Black Friday :c

Taking into account time zones, this means for me Black Friday will start when I get up on Tuesday instead, and the Pawn Shop should open on midnight into Wednesday, so I'll be asleep again because job. I imagine other time zones have it even worse. That said, we have a whole week, so I don't lament missing the Pawn Shop deals all that much, can't even be sure there will be any csc for it left anyway. Bring it on!

Will the price for selling CW items to the pawn shop be up'd some? I have a item I have been holding off selling to pawn shop because right now the shop will only give me 250 csc on a item I got for 750 csc, I no long want the item :(

I'm prepared for looooong loading times. Good thing I'm stocked with baking things so I can look forward to a 60minute bread finishing while the other page is loading. xD Also glad I saved some csc, really hope for some cool finds in the pawn shop and to finish off some WL stuff. :)

Don't think I'll be doing Black Friday this year, just spent 500CSC on amazing artwork...so unless the CSC Fairy pays a visit at the bath house and says, "Here is 500 CSC, enjoy!", I don't think it will be happening...not much I want anyways...so it's all good! I hope everyone gets what they want/need

This was the old link to the CW Pawn Shop (right now it just redirects to the regular shop). However, I can't guarantee that the link will be the same once the shop is re-opened, since I'm not a staff member.
