Old Plushie Revamps

Scroll down a bit and you'll see that they want to replace all the "real world" themed items with items related to the subetan world/lore to better fit the site. Good buy "real people" items, hello NPC items.

Honestly, if wanted to leave/sell the site, I am pretty sure he would tell us in a news announcement. I highly doubt he would just have his name taken off of everything and just leave without saying anything.

He just didn't want his 14 yr old self's things all over the site anymore. He grew up, so the site is growing up with him. shrug

OK but seriously, admins, has anyone given an official statement as to why all the Keith-related site items are being removed? Hell, some of them are only even vaguely Keith related, like the celebrity plushies.

Love this revamp! The new plushies are super adorable!

.> This might not be a shared opinion so I'm hesitant to even mention it, but honestly I kinda wish this would happen with some (read: preferably many/all) of the bodily-function foods. Poopy Peanut Butter looks ridiculously out of place in the Food Market. I was taking a break from Subeta when this trend of items was released, so maybe I completely missed an inside joke or something, but if I were a brand new user who had never encountered the game before I'd probably have some confusion/judgement based on the target audience's maturity level for this site.

I just can't help but to laugh and laugh that all these Keith items existed in the first place!! I am still giggling over this. I remembered those keith cakes coming out, I think.

Wishing him all the well, maybe it's more embarrassing having your scene phase become part of the site, but I am grateful he created Subeta. I love this dang addicting petsite.

The new plushies are beautiful and I love them, but the old Keith items were super nostalgic and a part of Subeta's history. I get wanting to phase out real world stuff from Subeta, but Keith is very important to Subeta and an actual character in Subeta universe so I don't understand why they couldn't be kept.

I understand and fully appreciate the phasing out real world things idea. But I don't like the idea of completely replacing items with something entirely different, so there's not even a trace of what the item used to be. At least for the Amy Lee and Nicole Richie plushie, they could have been renamed something like "Goth Plushie/Goth Rock Star Plushie" and "Rich Plushie/Rich Girl Plushie". None of those names are even used by another official item. I can see how the Keith ones are difficult to rename to something generic (though.. King Keith exists as a character in the world, so they could all just be renditions of the character King Keith...?) Also, maybe this is just me and kind of nitpicky... I don't like Melody's Cottage/Advent Calendar items being retconned, even if it is REALLY old. Also more nitpicking... I may be wrong on this, though from what I can tell: Mauve was released as a character after (2007) the existence of the Luminaire Keith Plushie (2005). All that said... I do think these shopkeeper plushies are very nice looking and happy they exist, I like seeing more NPC stuff.
