(and anyone else wondering about Vials), is correct -- from the FAQ: "If you signed up or drank a vial before the end of the event, your virus will progress and you'll still be able to claim your skins." Bolded for emphasis

Just a quick note since it's been brought up here, but if you signed up for an infection before the holiday ended, it will progress! It’ll just be very slow.

Before you waste one, I think vials don't work outside of Survival anymore
I thought as long as you signed up before survival ends, you will eventually progress to stage 1 of your infection. Without bites it just takes longer to show up.
A bit disappointed, really. I had gotten bitten and my virus randomly disappeared when my avatar vanished around the second day I was infected, so I was unable to get all three strains.
And there weren't that many new pets. >: Two sweethearts is not a lot when we used to get 4 or so, along with a bunch of graveyards.
Sad to see Survival go, but I'm for Masquerade!
I see some others with this issue... I didn't realize you had to get bit to get an infection you purchased :/
I thought that was when you didn't want to have to pay for the infection.

It was fun this year... but my concern is I bought an infection around 7 yesterday, its now not showing any signs. Last night I was still able to access things for zombie only.
Now it tells me I'm not a zombie, so does this mean I lost 500k?
😯 But where are the graveyard pets?
Aren't we supposed to get both graveyard and sweetheart pets for survival? Because... zombies.

Aw, I'm sad that it's over :( but it was great, as always!! My favorite subeta event <3 I managed to get my fourth infection on the last day(my third was a vial so it was shorter) I love the wearables this year, and everything I had so much fun!

totally had fun, after missing several years being off this site(still getting things off and onto my WL), so this was loads of fun for me!! got at least two skins, so still happy about that!
so happy i managed to get the 3rd infection before it started <3
i think Survival lasts longest [except for Luminaire] about 10 days? while most other celebrations last for a week. there was plenty of time to get infected, with plenty users willing to bite others. i also managed to collect more than 1000 candy hearts this year, so i'm totally happy with it <3
Update: I got an alert saying I've been matched so I'm still getting my last skin! Yay!

I think a lot of people were in the same boat. I paid for the Boobitis virus and waited three days before I cancelled it and just got a new one quickly for 25k.
I said this last year and I'll say it again, if you release on average 4 new skins a year, given virus progression and how short survival is, you can get 4 skins if you're lucky... so it's practically impossible to get all the previous skins if you didn't get them before! Please change this subeta- either give us a few years where you don't make any new skins, or vastly decrease the amount of time it takes to get infected (both through the VIP and biting), decrease the amount of time it takes for viruses to progress, and increase how long survival runs for!!
It was fun! Thank you now let me please remove the skin and look normal again!
To all of the people who paid for or signed up for an infection and didn't get it even after days of waiting... I was in the same boat. Somewhere between 3 and 4 days with no infection. It was absolutely ridiculous this year unless you were on the boards being bitten, and even then it was pretty crazy. It took 12+ bites for me to finally get infected even after the 3-4 days of waiting. I really hope it isn't so lame next year.
Aw, it goes so quickly! I managed to squeeze in four infections, so I'll call it a success.
Now to spend the next few weeks hastily assembling a range of glamorous avatars for Masq!

Good bye Survival, we'll miss you dearly. I managed to turn into a zombie, kiss others users, kiss a memorial and scatter flowers everywhere. This is the most original 'Valentine' event I've ever had the honor of participating in.
I can't lie, I'm a little bummed out that so few sweetheart pets were released this year, as it's my favorite color. :'c But still, thank you, staff, for all the hard work you put into the event! Although I stayed human, the new zombie strains were really cool, and there were some incredible items released this year. I'm always sad to see this event end!

I'm pretty sure I never got the virus I signed up for like, 3 days ago. I was hoping it'd kick in by the end of survival but I'm still uninfected despite having signed up for it. What a bummer DX
I always feel like it takes forever for your infection to turn. I got one and waiting on another right now to finish (which I'm not sure if it will or not) But I still enjoy this event every year :)

Still, I did manage to get two completed skins, and once this one's over, a third. And I managed to get a TON of wearables from both Louis & Skitters... and plushies... and beanbags. So I really can't complain. :3
