The Quest-A-Thon Begins!

Our holiday Quest-A-Thon has officially started!

You have until 11:59pm on December 29th to have 750,000 quests completed as a team with your fellow users. The following quests count towards the goal: Carl, Cinthia, Mori or Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

If the goal of 750,000 quests is completed, everyone that participated will receive 1 new pet slot and 5 bathhouse tokens. Participation means doing at least one quest.

As a special treat during the Quest-A-Thon, quests will be working as if it were weekend quests. Some of the quest givers have the chance to give out holiday themed items! Alexander might give Vesnali restockables, Mori and Nori might give out Luminaire items, Cinthia has a chance for Trick or Treat items, Carl has a chance for Keelhauliday items, Quentin might give out Morostide restockables, and Pete will have the chance to give out Fireside treats!

I mean we could just not include it in the pool at all ;) We understand that it’s hard to refer a lot of people to be able to afford all the items in there, so we have the chance to earn a referral point through the pool when you’ve gone most of the cycle.

I mean … if we aren’t adding prizes to the goal and you want to see how far you guys can go .. you can do that? We don’t take the meter down until after the Quest-A-Thon ends, so you’ll see how far you guys make it.

There's no need to be sarcastic.

I'm just pointing out the staff HAS rewarded extenuating efforts in the past, so why not now? After all, a lot of people are going to withdraw once the goal is hit. A stretch goal keeps people motivated.

why does 'seeing how hard you can push yourself' require more prizes? :D

if you want to see how hard you can push yourself then fill yer boots, do as many quests as you can. but the staff have been super generous with the prizes already and there's absolutely no need to add more, lol.

heres your 'bonus goal' - 1,000,000 quests. go for it! good luck, i am sure everyone can do it :)

I don't consider it being greedy. I asked for a stretch goal to see how hard we can push ourselves.

After all, we have a killer 50K snowball achievement because some people went crazy and worked really hard and Subeta wanted to reward them (as explained by a staff member in the forum). Why can't we have a bonus goal to encourage us to keep up the hard work and maybe a reward for that? Working hard for your own gain really isn't greedy. Asking something for nothing, especially at someone else's expense, is greedy.

-unpopular opinion- but... i... find it a bit annoying that people want stretch goals? ^^; the prizes offered are already amazing and i don't think people should need anymore incentive than that + personal monetary profit in the form of enormous sP rewards since the staff have kindly made all quests function as weekend quests. tl;dr SOME OF Y'ALL ARE KINDA GREEDY

Whoa I'm glad I got on here, been traveling the past two days and finally felt like I could have time to connect. I could have easily missed all this cool stuff had I just relaxed and not worried about my computer this week... o.o

NOPE. You’ll have to wait until the end! Ending it early won’t be fair to those who couldn’t get on these first few days. A lot of people are traveling etc due to school/work/holidays/whatever, so we want to keep it up the entire time. It’ll be fun to see how far you guys hit, though!

Also for those asking, we will not be adding more prizes if you guys double/triple/etc the goal. We’re not going to edit the goal on you guys either if you beat it tomorrow or the next day.

SubetaTeam may give out another bonus prize for doubling the target, such as a 1wk GA or something, but I doubt we'd get 2 pet slots. Maybe if we as individuals reach a certain tier (like complete 100 quests or something)

I too, fired up a gold account medal for this. One week of 15 a piece. I was saving it for next year, but after doing my 15 quests yesterday and getting beyond awesome items and over 10mil sp...no regrets!!

Thanks soooo much for this. Something so simple but causes so much happieness.

- yessssss carl is the best thing right now. I've never, ever been able to catch something during Keelhaul so to finally have a shot at some of those items is just an absolute dream.

, yes that's normal. Although with every quest including hers being a weekend quest you COULD get some special Maleria quest items, but usually, you'd get sP only. Maleria, Cynthia and Saggi give only sP as a reward (under normal circumstances).

Interact tab - forums -forum groups. You'll have an option called 'New Group' and from there, it's pretty straight forward. Just remember to set Joining Permissions to either Closed to All or Invite Only, and you should be good.

You can just create a forum group just for yourself. Make sure no one else can join, deposit your cash in the forum group's bank, and you can do your Sarah's quests. That's how we did it last time we had a quest-a-thon.
