The news post originally said 6pm Centropolis time, which is technically 5pm subeta time because of the timezones so it was ambiguous at first.
For any new players, do not be confused by the conversation below about "what time is it". The time is the same all across Subeta, and it has nothing to do with where on the globe Subeta's star is currently shining. (Does Subeta's star have a name? I've been playing here for near ten years, and memory can't come up with it)
The time that is for the deadline it is at the top of the page and is GMT-5.

I guess that kind of makes sense, but with no other information right now it just seems like Centropolis would have been the most obvious choice.
Oh well, it's not that big of a deal. As long as they use Subeta time in posts like this to avoid confusion. :P
my guess is that right now we have nothing that is behind the standard time, only ahead. since peka and veta are all the way on the left, it just made it easier to set those two at the standard time and everything on the right got a different time zone. maybe there's some history behind it, like the person who standardized time zones or established subeta's longitudinal system lived in veta.
yeah I feel the same. Especially since Centropolis seems to be the base of operations for most things. I still get a sort of 'jet lag' feeling from the day vs. night maps, haha. I always feel like it's time for me to go to bed when the sun comes up at the Carnival.

I mean, I get the idea behind it. I just meant since the timezones are a new concept for the site, why didn't they just go with Centropolis as being the standard when they implemented them?

I've always thought it was weird that Subeta time for the site is in line with Veta's timezone and not Centropolis. Wouldn't it make more sense to have it based around the capital?
