Ahoy, mateys! Some o' ye may 'ave noticed lately that I 'ave been packin' a little extra treasure in me booty. Well, I’m here t' tell ye that as much as I love me grub AND me rotund body, me 'n Angrybeard are actually expectin' a wee pirate cub.

Ye can hold back th' congratulations, I don't wants ye all natterin' at me at once. It weren’t exactly th' biggest challenge I’ve faced in life - I used t' sail th' seas meself once upon a time, 'n got into plenty o' fights! How do ye reckon Angrybeard 'n I met?

Anyway, wha' I’m here fer today be t' ask fer yer help in a wee project I been thinkin' about - a site wide treasur....I mean item drive! It must be me hormones, 'cause I’m feelin' a mite charitable. I’m lucky enough t' 'ave me inn 'n me mateys around me…and sometimes Angrybeard, but plenty o' families in Subeta don’t be so lucky. So I’m thinkin' we go collectin' together as many items as we can, 'n I can be setting up a donation fer Charity t' sort out as she will. I reckon t' make it a wee more fun - we'll only accept th' items that 'ave a color in thar name - 'n th' color that gets donated th' most will be th' color I’ll potion me cub!

Come visit me t' donate yer items - or check if yer items are acceptable. We be acceptin' R1-199 so thar be a lot o' things that we’ll take! I expect we'll end this once I'm done…expectin'. It's gonna happen soon, I predict about a week from now! I'll end th' drive when it’s time, nae like I needs t' rest or anythin'. 'n no, thar are no item prizes fer takin' part. It’s fer charity! I suppose I can throw in a forum title fer participatin'.

It’s ok, I don’t need your congratulations! It’s really not a big thing. I’ve done things like sail the seas and fought in great battles - this is easy by comparison!

Anyway - what I’m here for today is to ask you fine people in a little project I’ve been contemplating - a site wide item drive! I think my hormones are making me feel a little charitable. I’m lucky enough to have a business of my own and my family and friends around me, but there are many families in Subeta that aren’t so lucky. So I was thinking that we could collect together as many items as we can to put together as a donation for Charity to pass on! To put a little fun spin on it, we’ll just collect items with colors in their names, and the color that gets donated the most will be the color I’ll potion my cub!

Come visit me to donate your items - or check if your items are acceptable. I'm accepting R1-199 items so there’s a lot of things that I’ll take! I plan to run this Item Drive up until my cub arrives, which I feel will be about a week from now! There are no item prizes for giving items as it’s for charity, but I will be able to throw in a forum title for participators.

Now, off to donate items!

- Could you maybe make a list of all the pet colors that are accepted, and their substitutions? Like you said blue works for dusk, and green for field. Does yellow work in place of gold?

I think there would be a lot less confusion if you added that information to the donation page.

It’s just the colorfill items. :) Things like red and blue are accepted because they go towards cherry and dusk.

But all the items I listed have a pet color in the name...why wouldn't they be accepted? Is it basic colors only (ROY G BIV + brown/white/black/gold/silver?) The news post and the donation page don't mention anything about Glacier/Spectrum/Galactic type pet colors not being accepted. I'm just a little confused :

This is so cute!! I'm sure they'll be adorable no matter what color they turn out to be. (Although a total items donated bar to let us know which color is winning would be cool too) :)

For some reason I was able to donate Bloodred Cloth Warador Footgear but not Glacier/Galactic/Spectrum/Dark Matter Wheelieblades, Angelic Longstockings, or Galactic/Nuclear/Reborn Cloth Warador Footgear. Oversight of some sort?

Aww, I thought this was cute even with little/no prizes (though no way I'm dumping massive amounts over that, but still) until I saw BEST COLOR not accepted :c Burgundy for the win. Burgundy potion y/y? Seriously though, the rarities are already stacked against it, if it did win that's totes reasonable :p

Also, I presume this is colorfill only? So no Angelic or GY item either (they're subeta/potion 'colors' but I still figure not included). Just double checking, because Reborn Triplets on a wooden ship might just be worth pushing for for the comedic value alone c:<

in my defense I know nothing about the character of pretty much any npc on subeta. it just always seems like item drives benefit hoarders + hoarders are the only ones with a voice.

That doesn’t really fit in with Babette, though. A simply poll? Ha! Tbh you’d think she’d keep some of this loot people are donating. :x

(also this is a bit like spring cleaning / getting rid of unwanted items you might have, RECYCLE YOUR ITEMS TO BARBETTE SO HER AND CHARITY CAN GIVE THEM OUT etcetc)

Lol it's all good. This is adorable! Maybe there will be more than one cub. Hmm. Possibilities. And yeah, fragmentizer-style donating options would be great. (Even if there's a 10 item at a time limit or something to cut down on server drag.)

There's less stingy people complaining about lack of rewards in the comments than I expected, and more of the ones who actually enjoy the chance to contribute with the lore in a simple manner, I'm both surprised and pleased :b

Seems to have only taken half of "Holiday Items" (175) Even though they were from the same Holiday/Event

it sounds like something a simple vote could have accomplished and it would have prevented item hoarding from controlling the results. an example of how having enough money can buy you more leverage in elections.

The point is to get users involved in the creation in a way of future NPC(s). You get to help decide the color of these cubs, which who knows what kind of terror they’ll bring around Keel Hauliday. Not everything has to be a competition/big thing. :)

I don't understand the point of this. I understand staff wants items off site... but no achievements? A title that is for all participants so you only have to donate a single item to get it? I understand not adding more items to the site as that would defeat the purpose, but there should definitely at least be tiers.

You can donate dusk/lilac/etc. :) Blue and dusk both go towards a dusk cub, etc.

haha I find it funny we can donate 'non' subeta potion colors(ie blue, red, etc) instead of just things with glade, bloodred, dusk, lilac, etc ..I guess I'm in a mood to be mean like that :P

She would have taken a white acorn but I didn't have it in my wardrobe yet and really wanted that little albino squirrel. No go with the Nuclear rave fish... and a nuclear cub would have been soooo cute!
