Imagine this, you've just bought a copy of the newest book in your favorite series, walked home, unwrapped it and sat down to read it. But, before you get too far in you remember about your pets on Subeta, so you come to the website, look at the main page, your eyes are drawn to the shoutbox and what do you see? The ending of the book posted in plain view.

This isnt just a story, this is actually happening here on Subeta. Hence forth, any spoilers in plain view (That includes shoutbox, IRC chat, sMail to people who didnt request it, and forums without spoiler warnings) will be punished with warnings. It is not to be tolerated.

Thank you, Cyde! The new books arrived to Finland yesterday, but they are coming to Finnish language at about 5 or 6 months.

Seeing that I read 2/3 of the book in about 4 hours, it won't be long until I finish, but I didn't want to go on any forum for that very reason. I knew that there would be people doing just that (telling endings and important secrets and such). Why ruin other's fun? It's just mean and rude. Thanks for warning against it!

Awesome. Parents got my a new book for my birthday... but won't let me open it until then.

It's just tomorrow, but still... I'd have to hurt the person who spoiled my ending. Rawr.

Yayyy. I haven't read it yet, and it would be such a disappointment to know the end before the beginning!

Thanks a lot. I read it already last night but I couldn't read the last Harry Potter book until four months after it came out and I was so disappointed because everything had been spoiled for me.

-sighs in relief- I'm glad to say I finished it two days ago, but it is nice to know that I won't come onoto here and panic because the ending of one of my books is in plain view. What a rotten way to find out what happens in a book/movie/game. >_<:

Yeah, ditto. I'm glad I wasn't here to see it... >>;;

Purple, teasing your friends just spoils it for them. I myself have finished it, and it was fantastic. Spoilers would just... spoil it.

but that means i can't tease my freinds boo hoo

This applies not only to Harry Potter, but to everything. The only place spoilers can be posted is in the forums, in THREADS marked with clear warnings about spoilers.

Give them Underworld Cyde.

This is as bad as when people go out and attempy to steal the books before they are released. If you want to read it that bad then wait read it and wait again until you can talk to other people about it.

How would you like it if someone told you the ending before you finished reading it?

(exit soapbox) =x
