As the snow begins to fall, the <a href=https://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=35>Avalanche Emporium has reopened to sell you… things you could easily make by stepping foot outdoors--but who wants to do that? Get your designer snowballs ready because THE SNOWAPULT IS BACK</A>! You can even fling at random, unsuspecting users now!

It's going to be a long, frigid winter. Thankfully both the Snowapult and Avalanche Emporium will be here to suit your devious needs until the bitter end. Speaking of which, the Throw a Snowball achievement has several new tiers...

I was excited about this until I realized that we can't buy stacks of snowballs like previously. Probably won't be participating much since I never have luck with restocking and refuse to pay ridiculous amounts for snowballs in users' shops.

So let's say the average user has 25k snowballs right now. 3 months this year = 91 days that's a bit more than 274 snowballs a day. 11.44 snowballs per hour and that's restocking for 24 hours straight every day until spring.

I don't think achievements should be easily obtainable or made so everyone can obtain them, but when things are made with really high numbers, this promotes a few different things.

autorefreshers. doesn't really apply to this, unless the shop gets changed.

richer users

with this said, I don't care enough to try at all. I'm at 751 snowballs and probably will stay at that number.

I agree with ... maybe the snowballs should be a different rarity. If I have to stalk a shop for them I won't be bothering with this activity this year and that's a bummer!

Guys it's been an hour, everyone is restocking right now. Tons are going out, there are 93 snowballs now! You have 3 months if you want to get it done this year. The majority of the older snowballs have 20-30k onsite as is, tons will be available when it isn't moments after the news is posted :)

I hate the snowballs. Thank goodness I had thrown way more than enough to get the sticker. Not even going to bother for the 25k/50k as the other two rewards don't interest me.

With the snowballs not stocking in the shop, it will take years to buy enough get the achievement.

Better yet, why not make the snowballs a different rarity so they can't be fragged? There's only a small batch of items to have to change.

I get not being able to buy masses of snowballs because fragging. But why can't we buy them one at a time with a 1-minute timer or something since y'know we now have a 50,000 tier on the achievement? :L

Unless there's another snowball war, that 50k tier is near impossible for some of us...... Wish the shop was like the way it was last year though :( Understand why it isn't, but doesn't mean I like it...really want the new snowballs for my gallery...

well, good thing I threw like 35K snowballs for the snowball war last year. glad it's retroactive (had to throw a snowball to get it to register the achievements)

I like the sticker! Yay for snow! =) I think maybe we still need more tiers though lol (i wasn't quite as ambitious as some others here in the past, but i did have over 4,000 thrown already, so one snowball to trigger it and i'm done already, aw).

I did. This is the first mention I've seen of snowballs, but I could have sworn they used to start Dec 1st. Anxious to see the new ones. :)
