Fireside!

Hey y'all! It's time to huddle 'round the bonfire here in Veta, as the harvest is comin' to an end and we're ready to share the bounty with our beloved visitors and the spirit of the Red Rreign himself! Gather up Red Rreign items floating about and offer them up to the bonfire - y'all may find you come away with somethin' special! Be careful about throwing in the wrong items though, y'all could see a little bit of the Red Rreign's less relaxed side!

Y'all should take a trip over to Charity, too, with any spare food you have! She's collectin' it for the less fortunate, but she still does her best to give you little tokens of thanks as often as she can!

And last thing for today - we're mighty proud to announce a new pet color we went and discovered here in Veta! It appears the Red Rreign had something to do with it, the sweetie! Can you figure out how to get your hands on one of these new Harvest pets?

Great concept for a new colour, I do concur with others that some more contrasting details would be great, like how the glade has lilac flowers, critters etc with small highlights of detail.

Love the mushroom details, maybe there will be the opportunity for some squashes ^__^

I think many seem to think that redrawing the pets in all new poses and colors is a lot of work. They did change some things, adding in leaves and such. Also, fall doesn't really have a huge variety in colors, it's all pretty much in the same part of the color wheel. While there are pops of color with golds and reds, it's not as much as orange. I'm okay with these being duller and not super bright and the change on some of the smaller details are nice. I don't think ti's lazy, I think it's utilizing what they have to reduce the amount of work they don't really have time for atm. Besides, all the basic colors are the same poses, so why can't some of the potions that are similar use the same poses too? It's not like they do it often anyways.

I like. I will get the legeica as soon as possible. =D (and I second the hydrus legeica needs to be done. Like, now. lol).

Hm, these are kind of interesting, but got to admit it's somewhat disappointing that it just seems to be a recolor of the glade pets. Especially since the Glade pets tend to look rather aroused and stuff, which makes sense because of the spring theme, but for autumn, I think a different mood could be fitting. Oh well I guess.

tbh this is the first pet color I don't like at all. The pallet is overly monochrome imo. Compare the Harvest Legeica (orange, orange, and more orange) to the Glade Legeica (green, tan, blues and pinks). Part of what makes the best Glade pets visually interesting is the splashes of color and how that makes the drawing appear less flat. The only splash of color these have is some over-saturated yellow, which looks especially jarring on the Warador.

It's not like orange was the only color to choose from, fallen leaves can be gray, purple, brown, yellow, gold, tan, even almost black. Even throwing a hint of auburn or darker brown would be enough to make these less bland. Like posted, or like this

Love the new color! I especially love that the Legeica's pose is the same as Glade, it is such a pretty pose! Now to decide if I should repaint my Glade Legeica Harvest.

A red/orange/yellow palette would be too close to Reborn, which is the other autumn color.

Orange/Terracotta/Brown is much better imo

TBH I think the new colour is lazy. Using old art that could really use a style update along with poorly drawing on leaves in place of grass, can that really count as a new colour?

A happier winter color would be nice, though! Sparkly ice, snowflakes and smiling faces? I wouldn't think it'd ever happen (this is why overlays are acceptable), but seeing this re-colored Glade turned into a potion makes me think it'd be possible to liven up the Glacier pets with another potion someday! o:

I thought it was expected that an autumn color would basically be a glade recolor. At least, it's what I expected. I'd also have to agree with that the base color for the glade pets isn't exactly bright and vibrant. A lot of old Fireside items aren't vibrantly colored either. So I think the colors chosen for the pets fit just fine. They're kind of pumpkin spicey.

I'm impressed: the artist(s) redrew all of the plants and things. It's not just a flat color swap!

It also does have reds, browns, and yellows. Those colors are on the same parts of the color wheel so it's really easy to end up with a gradient. Possibly an improvement would have been to choose different contrasts, but tbh, I find the Glade pets to overall be kind of washed out too. There's just so much detail in the tiny image and the pet itself is one color (green or orange) with small splashes of plant color.

It is very pretty! I do wish there were a bit more highlights/shading BUT overall I'm super loving having another new color! Though any comment on a new color wouldn't be complete for me without my normal 'hydrus legecia please' whine haha. <3

Um...am I the only one who thinks this is a super lazy recoloring of the glade pets? Not only that, the pallet is super bland. Fall has orange, brown, yellow, gold, red! Not just...flat orange. I mean, the art is fine, considering the glad pets all look beautiful, but this is just like the black light potion all over again..
