The disturbed spirits that have been causing chaos all over Subeta are finally coming under control, thanks to the dedicated efforts of a brave few that have unearthed and performed ancient traditions.

However, a new threat may be at hand! Earlier today, our meteorologist discovered an unusual weather event taking place. From a shroud of inexplicably thick mist, a new spirit appeared, and this one doesnâ€™t seem to be appeased by the offerings.

Who will step forward to defend Subeta!? Only time will tell!

(Uh oh! You better speak to Connor right away.)

Note: You may have guessed it already, but just so you can begin preparations, there will be a WORLD BOSS tonight released at around 11pm. The World Boss will have multiple stages, and there will be breaks in between. There will be a way for non-battlers to participate. We'll be able to give estimations of further times of release after the initial stage is defeated. - Subetateam

I'm so sad about the time frame to be honest. I have to work tomorrow at 645a so staying up until eleven tonight is probably not going to happen for me. I'm so putting my husband in charge of dinner tomorrow so I can try to smash this big ghost as much as possible...

I don't see the problem? Challengers will probably stay all weekend (and usually don't matter for final prizes) and the boss will have different stages, so it will be here enough time for every time zone to have a chance to fight it

How long will the breaks be? Several hours? Just one each? Wanna know how much caffeine I'm gunna need XD Also wow this coin spirit is SUPER PRETTY??? The colors are beautiful! I can't wait to see what the drops actually are. I have them waiting for me in my inventory :D

I must have missed something along the way because I get the same message from Connor every time, the one that tells me to talk to Quentin. I've talked to Quentin and did the game and everything but still get the same message from Connor. Sad stuff :( No plot for me this time, I guess

Huh, I wasn't expecting to be able to beat this opponent, but it turns out that even a pet who got to Tier 3 through REs and scratchcard stat increases can do it, lol.

it's funny how the plot steps are so short and so spread out, but all of a sudden within a few hours you release a bunch of challengers and a boss, which are very time and focus intensive at the time of the day you're the most tired

you just took the concept of logic to another level

Transparency fantastic. Breaks in between stages, sounds great, we'll see how it plays out, but I have high hopes. Release time, it's always going to suck for some group, but the stages and breaks should hopefully make it work better overall.

From now until 11pm subeta time isn't exactly much time for appetizers...people will have no time to rest before the big boss if you release them in that kind of time frame - which sort of defeats the point of having warm up opponents. It would have been nice to have them more spread out like the gelatins :(.

and is that all.. a boss ? Bosses are pretty much the worst experience battle-wise because you're just sitting there for hours hitting a thing that has 150 million health points. You every stroke has no impact, since he'll probably be healing it back anyway

The items for beating it 5 times are broken. They still say Staff Item. Also, I didn't get any item for beating him the first four times. That might be normal though.

throughout the plot there's been late night (my time anyway) plot updates, and. ugh. well, at least there'll be breaks and waves bc 11pm subeta time is 5am my time, so, that's not happening.

also, drops from this spirit are categorised as staff items?

and - The news post note says multiple stages with breaks in between. If that wasn't clear enough, that means that we're stretching this out over many hours in order to accommodate timezones.

Oooh! I hope I'll be on in time for this! I'm about to go to bed because it's 2 am in my timezone, and I have work tomorrow. This looks like it's going to be fun! I just beat the Spirited Shrine Coin five times but the items are glitched. Were we not supposed to fight it yet?

Wtf is even happening anymore? So non-battlers and people who can't beat the games get special exceptions for the plot but the people who can't be on because of time zones are just shit out of luck. Yeah, alright.

rather than non-battlers having chances to participate, i'm always more worried about whether time-zones are accounted for. there's a new plot step and promise of stages and updates while i'm soon to go to bed lmao
