What\\\'s that...more pet slots?!

Good evening, shining jewels!

There's one thing that we here in Delphi are not short of, and that's pets looking to be adopted. As the Ambassador for Delphi, I wanted to do something about this, so I partnered up with my fellow Ambassador, Saggitarius, to come up with an idea to help some of our many wonderful pets to find homes!

He tells me that many of you have full homes, and so aren't able to adopt - and he suggested that maybe if you had some more pet slots, you might adopt more pets! And he was more than willing to help with that, only charging a 'small fee' - and he'll donate the profits to Adopt R Us so they can give the pets there some beautiful new colors to make them more desirable!

So as of now, you can find 5 new petslots available to be bought from the Millionaire Center! They are priced at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 million sp. And until the end of this month, keep a look out in Adopt R Us for newly colored pets!

Thanks. I haven't looked in the adoption center yet because unless I can find one with a name I love I will probably create a new pet instead of adopting since I can't afford the CSC to change a name.

I've seen a pet that I saw earlier today in the pound with a new color, so I guess it's been happening and they just get adopted faster? Then again, someone else could have adopted, colored, and abandoned it too.

I'd be happy to give away the slots I paid for I don't want a refund. I was into pets for the most part but now I have 21 slots and only am using 11. lol If I could give you my spare slots I know you'd take em. :P

Plus this is the only "item" in the MC that doesn't go to your inventory, even though the purchase page looks like you're buying a regular item. There has to have been a better way to do this.

I have to say though: as awesome as all of this is, the setup is really weird. We're buying an item named "Pet Slot" that uses the item image and hover info of the Pet Matryoshka Dolls, and the price changes every time with no explanation in the MC itself? This is confusing.

It doesn't show the next slot until you've bought the previous one. So the first slot is 20 million, you buy it, and then as you saw the 40 million slot becomes available. If you buy that one, you will then see the next one available for 60 million. Then 80 million if you buy that, and 100 million after that.

- First slot costs 20m, second costs 40m, third costs 60m... If you buy all five, you pay 300m total.

I'm confused, I need help here. I understand this as 'buy one slot for 20 mill and buy 2 slots for 40 mill'. I would like 2 more slots please. I went to the MC (after withdrawing 40 mill from my vault) ready to do business. There was just a 20 mill slot so I bought it. Went back to buy another and the slot is selling for 40 mill. Is this right?

gotta agree with the name change not being included - additional slots are 2000 CSC via the pet page. by contrast, the name change is 500 CSC, which is much easier to obtain, even if you purchase the cards from the sP shops. not only is it a fair deal, they're giving us slack on the more expensive aspect of it - complaining that the names are poor and you might have to save up/spend a little extra on them is kind of looking a gift horse in the mouth xc the point is accessibility, not immediacy

I think Andrea's suggestion has considerable merit (names for poor pets whose owners couldn't think of a more fortunate name and no chance for abuse). Major drawback: It would need to be handled by staff, meaning work time going into that. I can't tell how much work it'll be, but re-naming more than 100 pets will surely take time...

LOVE THIS

Although personally, I think it is the names of some of the pets in the adoption center that puts people off from adopting them, not their colours. I mean come on who wants to adopt a pet called "Feli3433496" or "wwhhaatt18". I think it would be better to just remove pets that have been in there for X amount of time completely, thus freeing the name up and emptying the pound a bit.

For the record 99% of pets that are named like (ex:) Max_963 have a free rename-- when accounts go inactive and a pet's name is changed, the pet gets a free rename. That sticks with the pet, not the account, so when those pets are ditched they still have a rename attached.

In case those asking for a free rename are curious.

That said, there's some "interesting" names in there sometimes that don't have those free renames-- I don't expect staff to allow us to rename them for free-- but instead of just clearing out the pound and potentially deleting awesome IDs/specific birthdays... it'd be cool if the more "creative" names, such as poor Lucian893476893, were renamed by staff to something less... numbery.

Or not, that's an older pet and you never know when someone might be looking for it's birthday instead of it's name.

I adopted Mazuma. I have no I am changing her to a her. I made her a Chibi Dillema and I want to get that minion that looks just like a little Dillema. If anyone knows the name of that minion/plushie please ping me. Thanks, Subeta. Now I have an even number again again. I love y'all. Now I have two non Fester pets. Can you believe that?

I also agree that the names are an issues with the pound. I would adopt all of my pets from there if I didn't have to spend so much on changing the name. It's always cheaper in the long run to create and colour a pet than to search for the colour then change the name. (well maybe not nostalgic - but the majority for sure)
