Quest-A-Thon - Goal hit!



You guys did it! As of 3:01pm, 500,000 quests have been completed! After the Quest-A-Thon ends at 11:59pm Thursday, we will be giving out the 1 new pet slot and forum title of is forever on a quest for more pets to everyone who has participated! You still have a few days left to get any friends to join in so they get the prize as well. :)

Ahaha, hey if we do another 500k before Thursday, can we get two pet slots instead of one? rubs hands eagerly I think we could make it! Or if not two pet slots, then an additional prize?

Rainbow? I don't see a rainbow either, just a green bar. Glad we made it though. Toughest part will be trying to decide what to use the extra slot for. Will probably hold mine until a new pet or color comes out I want.

Grats on the accomplishment!

I'm probably the only one who didn't appreciate the rainbow flashing bar. It makes me really nauseous looking at it even for a few seconds, so I had to block it. :(

We def want to do more site-wide things like this in the future. I like the quest idea, so don't be surprised if we do another quest-a-thon (but with a higher number next time ;)) but we are up for other ideas too!

That's true. Maybe we would still be able to make it, but not easily in my opinion. We'd have to make an average of 143k per day, and I think we made around that. But that was also over the weekend when we average more no matter what, and without testing over the weekdays how much we average the numbers may change enough that it wouldn't be possible. I don't believe we'll have enough people continuing the same amount of quests to keep track now, though. I am 100% down to do something like this again to test things out !

Where are people getting 4 1/2 days for this? We started at midnight between Thursay-Friday right? So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and it's (a little over) halfway through Monday ? 3 1/2 days ?

Still though, I'm not sure we could do 1m. I know if we hadn't moved this fast I would have put in more effort to quest over the weekend and I didn't. Now that I actually have time to quest, I don't need to :P

I'd be curious to have a 10 day event for a million, though. According to your calculations, it's doable, especially if the event starts on a Friday

I'm really glad this wasn't a one-million-quest-a-thon. We wouldn't have made it, sorry to those saying we would have easily done it, but no. It took us an hour more than 4 1/2 days for 500k. Double that. That would be 9 days, 2 hours for 1m. Maybe over an extended weekend when more people would be online to keep up the same pace, but not with the slowed down weekdays.

Haha I love the rainbow bar of completion. It's fantastic.

I'll still quest like crazy until Thursday...in part because of the gold acct token, haha, but in part because I want to see how high we can get! And also 'cause quest points and monies. And achievements. There are several reasons.
