You found a Riverside Wren!

It's so cuuuuute! :D

Wren Lagopus - genus Ptarmigan (too many different kinds of Ptarmigan to image ref. here) Kite is a common name for birds of the family Accipitridae (lotsa different kinds) Gannet Plover Ruby-crowned Kinglet Purple Martin The classic pigeon Columbidae - AKA Dove (lots of different kinds, but I'm assuming it's either the white dove or the grey dove that's being referred to here.

Fun fact: The Dove and Pigeon are very closely related in their genus

I am soooo excited for this! My first bird was a woodpecker. :) One of my pets is named after my cat whose nickname is Songbird, I can't wait for all the TC fodder I'll get out of this!

Well, yes, that's not right. But it's just because we have Minions introduced in Subeta world. And it's a fictional world, where everything is rainbow... Pets talk and mainly that's why I guess it's not like domestication, but friendship (well, people would be really mean if they kept their friends domesticated :P)

Better instructions wouldn't hurt. I had no idea if I was looking for a random event, floating item, what.

I figured it out but I'd hate for some newbie or something to buy a massively expensive bird, or think they might need to, etc.

The birds should come down in price, but still.

Birds can be found in a certain Subeta area, most of them have the plave where they can be found in their names. Maybe you weren't looking in the right place?

I guess all the birds (or at least most of 'em) can only be found in certain areas. That's easier if you need to watch a bird with the name of its habitat in his name, like Veta Plover. You go to the place where the bird can be found and start searching around pages to a floating bird (like Vesnali flowers). Then, take it back to Rosemary and you'll keep the bird as a minion in your inventory.

We are going to release the book in another way later for people who want more than one, but otherwise nah it's just the first time you do it that you get the book.

well, I'm not a birdwatcher, so I thought it could happen xD It happens a lot here in Brazil, anyone can contact researchers and go to the field with them to spend the day cataloging, taking pictures and getting knowledge about birds.

The book is a one time only deal when you do your very first quest and then after that you just get a bird. Amber answered this in the shoutbox.

well I mean, does it make sense that you ask other people to help you bird watch in the first place? :P Activities on subeta almost never correspond to the way things work irl, it's hard to riddle things out when it could be anything.

is the book given only once or we get it everyday? If it's given everyday it'll become junk fastly. Maybe cool to keep it in the Recycle Center every Sunday (or Monday, or Saturday, any day of the week, every week).

Well, that's kinda clear if you read the texts, she says she wants to watch, so it may sound wrong to buy a bird and give to her xD But yeah, it really could confuse people.

I love that we're getting a new daily.

What I don't love is that this seems impossible to get for some users. I've been refreshing 2 Veta lake tabs and still have not seen a single bird. I dont want it handed to me, but I also do not want "Dailys" taking more than a minute or two to complete.

I think it would be nice if there was the image of the book posted (since a lot of people didn't notice the text saying that she handed in a book!) as well as an image once you complete the quest (perhaps the same bird + the extra reward if any!) -- a bit like shinwa for example!
