Wow glad that was one of the first shops I ever stocked from to have a collection in my hoard gallery from. Only missed out on a few, but glad I did it when I did.
I would love to see an art update on the wearable balloons, they look really old. >_>;
You can always buy them from user shops, Inknote. :) Some balloons have like 300 in one user shop alone.
Grand, the shop closed (which is fine for me cus I never used it) but there's gunna be a drive for the items we CAN NO LONGER BUY. NEAT. Guess I'm stalking carnival games that I never win. =.=
We did put some of the old retired items from the Balloon Hut in the carnival prize queue. :) I'll look into where some of those other balloons are from for the achievement and figure out ways to bring them back.

I just want to say THANK YOU!! Maybe the Recycle Beast will want all of those balloons leftover from vending in previous days. It seems you may be able to get those second year balloons from the game? That is great news. Will other balloons that are a part of the achievement go into the Carnival as well, the ones that have a "Special" Rarity?
Well, when the Graveyard Shop closed, Belial (for some reason) was re-introduced later with the revamped Mind Reader, so maybe we'll be able to play Rock, Paper and Scissors or Random with Tiffanie? /dunnojustsayin
The good thing about this is that now, you are more likely to get books from the Blue Sky vending machine, especially now that you don't have to worry about getting some 200 sP balloon instead of something else.
I don't care either way about the Balloon Hut closing, but what's going to happen to poor Tiffanie? Will she just disappear into Subetan Lore now, never to be seen again?

I have a whole section in my gallery dedicated to balloon things because seriously, I got so many from vending it was obnoxious. I honestly don't mind this change at all.

Not all the items from the Ballon achievement came from the Ballon Hut. Independence Day Balloons, Keiths 18th Birthday Demon Balloon, etc. You can still get the balloon hut items pretty cheap from shops or play the carnival games to get some of the more expensive ones. :)

Couldn't they have been moved to the Toy Box or Carnival Stand? Considering there's an achievement for balloon collecting.
Doesn't seem like it, they've mostly had their rarities changed to Game Prizes.
Why do you need to be alerted, before a shop closes? What're you gonna do? Restock from it fast, before it closes? Go buy up all the cheap balloons, and sell them for a high profit? Seriously, people need to calm down.
When we close a shop, we don't just get rid of the items. We move them somewhere else, so you can still get them instead of just retiring them. If we were to completely get rid of a shop and just retire the items forever, yeah we'd give a heads up.
I can think of one user I imagine is heartbroken right now awww!
I've never understood why this was it's own shop though, it'd make much more sense to be part of the carnival stand or something.
Usually when shops close, the prices of all items in them go way down because they make getting the items extremely easy from games or quests (like the Graveyard shop) none of these items were worth anything in the first place. I don't see why this matters to anyone. if you want a balloon, go buy a balloon in user shops or go to the carnival.

Well, for me it's a big deal because I don't use the shout box and this was entirely out of no where for me. I shouldn't have to use the shout box to get information. Letting people know ahead of time is just common courtesy.
Now I wonder about all those other shops that might just up and close and never exist again. That's really all it is.
This could be a good move - maybe something new can go in instead! Change can be good :)

I don't like the shop being closed since I restocked from it every day, but it's not a big deal either. It would've been nice if there had been a news post to announce that it would be closing shortly though.
That's an old DP item, so I can't really throw it into the carnival games. There is a chance to get it from the luminaire chance machine, though? I can def talk with and maybe have that in the Hustler queue. ;)
Why is it a big deal that a shop closed? Honestly. You can still get the items that restocked in it, by playing a game, and the shop was full of nearly worthless items, save for one or two rares worth, at most, 600k.

(all the expensive balloons needed for the achievement were retired or didn't stock in the balloon hut in the first place)

The balloon collection achievement shouldn't be hard to get because we've put quite a few of those in the carnival prizes and the ones we didn't are serioulsy like 50sP in shops.
What are you even talking about? The minion shop just got three new minions. Plus those new chickens from a while ago. When's the last time there was a news post that released new balloons into the balloon shop?

As someone pointed out, it was a little silly to have an entire shop to just balloons. They make much more sense as games at the carnival, tbh. The minion market is safe!

i just dug through all the former balloon hut stock, and the most expensive item from there runs for around 600k sp. as i said, not a high demand.
I'm okay with having balloon as carnival prizes, but I hope that doesn't mean that the already super expensive carnival prizes don't decome harder to obtain now.
