If my first hint wasn't enough, here's a more spoilery explanation of what you need to do in the room:

Major hint

The numbers on map/note refer to the digits of the safe's combo (1 is the first digit, 2 is the second, etc.). Each of those numbers points to a different location in the room, where you'll find another set of numbers. That second set of numbers make up the combo itself.

So you need to find the numbers hidden around the room, and put them in order according to the numbers on the map. The trick is that the map is mirrored and doesn't match up with the actual layout of the room, so you have to flip it in your head.

Oh my HECK, I FINALLY figured out who Ian reminds me of. I've been staring at his ridiculously poofy hair through every step of this plot, knowing that he looks like someone and just not being able to place it

For people that are having trouble with the order of the clues, make sure you have all four number clues - one of those clues comes with something else which will let you find a clue detailing the order of them, although you'll have to look at it another way to get it right. I hope that's not too spoilery? I really enjoyed this, I love adventure games and this section was perfectly in tune with it, especially the revelation about Jaxon (not specifically what we all expected either! But it makes sense), and I must admit I do like the emotional concern Ian has too, makes us care more about the plot in general. Loving it!
