This has really touched me. Usually, you only see tributes and people saying how much of a loss to the world this will be. But you try to prevent this to happen to other people as well. Thank you!
Thank you, Subeta, for the tribute, but thank you, even more, for adding the note at the bottom. As somebody who has lost loved ones to mental illness, including, but not limited to, suicide, I think it's really important to encourage support, and love, rather than throwing around negative energy, there's enough of that already...so tragic to lose such a kind-hearted, humorous, influental person, and to think that in a way he was dying right in front of our eyes and we had now idea...sorry I'm adding to the sadness, but I needed to get that out...
I am so heartbroken ;_;. Robin will be very, very missed. My UN was named after the Genie from Aladdin, which of course he voiced. The world lost an amazing man :(
It's strange to think that this story is coming from the man who quoted "suicide is a permeant solution to a temporary problem." I guess it shows every person has their limits. Rest in peace Robin, you will always be a prince to us.

Saw this on the facebook sidebar last night and I have to say, this is one celeb death that will stick with me for a while. He was in so many movies that I loved as a kid (and still do, thinking of finding one on netflix to watch as a little memorial to him)...he will be sorely missed all over the world.
I hope he finds peace, wherever he goes in the afterlife. ='(

and I just saw news stating this was suicide, but my statement still stands, lets not make assumptions(and its not only been on this death either)
Preliminary investigation has proved he hung himself with a belt. :( "(CNN) — Robin Williams apparently died of asphyxia due to hanging, Marin County Sheriff’s Lt. Keith Boyd said Tuesday.
The final cause will not be certified for several weeks, said Boyd, who also is the county’s Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner.
Robin Williams’ personal assistant found his body “slightly suspended in a seated position†with a belt around his neck, Boyd said. The other end of the belt was between a closed door and the door frame, he said.
Williams’ left wrist had cuts when he was found dead in a bedroom at his home, Boyd said. A pocket knife was found near his body, and a red material consistent with dried blood was found on the knife, Boyd said. He said tests will be conducted to determine whether the substance is blood."
I'm crying more than ever after reading this. I've been trying to compose myself since I heard of the news but I just simply cannot. He was my childhood, he made everything better, and knowing he suffered so much whilst continuing to make people laugh and be happy breaks my heart. Your legacy will live forever, Sir Williams. May you rest in peace.

awesome tribute for another one of a kind actor. my problem is this..WHY is everyone jumping the gun and saying suicide(its assumed yes via the news) BUT until the actual cause is released how about we not assume this is, until proven otherwise(you know the old adage of assumptions yes?). based on my research he has had heart surgery a while back and granted he has been fighting depression(again this is only based on his publicist I believe) at the moment though the only genuine fact(even that's probably just assumption) is asphyxiation.
What if pity from strangers is not what I need?

still crying about this. i feel like i've lost a family member and i just hope he is at peace. (am i allowed to post links on news posts?? i dunno!) this website helped me a bit when i was going through a bad time. as well as this website with free online listeners. some may not find these helpful but even if these help one person then it's worth posting!

When I read the news, I was so sad, you wouldn't believe. Aside from Harry Potter, his movies were sprinkled into my childhood and I enjoyed his work as I got older. He was a great actor, a great man. And being depressed enough that I contemplated going down this road, I really feel for him. Wonderful tribute! R.I.P.

Can we please get some rainbow suspenders on here! I was trying to do a Mork tribute HA and realised I cant find rainbow suspenders he always wore or a proper striped orange and black shirt.
I was telling my mom that, when I found out, at first, I didn't see the wonderful man. I saw the Genie. Thats what I knew him as first-- the genie who was the best best friend you could have. While that was my first, it wasn't my favorite. I LOVED Jack. I could watch that movie a million times and still be laughing, and crying. He was a genius, and such a great man... RIP Robin.
