Custom Wearable Competition Prizes!

Hey! Just wanted to update you guys that the prizes for the custom wearable competition have been given out!

Now, we decided to make most of these prizes available to purchase in the Couture tab of the Fashion Yurts - that's the one that costs cash shop credits! This way, the prize winners get something good that will keep its value, and regular users that like to collect a variety of things get a chance to purchase these items if they like - albeit at a cost! We felt this was the best, or at least fairest, way to do things, seeing as those that didn't enter didn't get to see what the exact prizes would be!

And of course the tablet is the most expensive one. :o Oh well, I guess it'll just have to sit in my wishlist forever like so many other items I want... xD

Well, I thought the book were also out of the shop, but actually it's on the bottom of the Couture. So... only the sticker isn't. I think both the book and the sticker should not be in the shop, as they're participating prizes.

I'm kinda on two minds about this. On one hand, I can't draw worth crap so it is a nice surprise that I could obtain most of the prizes. I don't care about stickers, but those collectors always seem to get the shaft so I'm a little sad for them that was the excluded prize.

On the other hand, I might be a little upset if I /had/ spent a long time trying to get even a basic submission in so I could at least get the participating prize and it turns out my hard work was for nothing and worth like $2. I feel like the prizes are on the cheap end and should have cost more to make them more special in the end.

I really don't have any complaints. I think the prizes are rather cute. I even like the idea that those who did not enter are still able to get the prizes at a cost. THOUGH... I do think that the people who did enter, and even the winners should at least get a little something that nobody else can have, for their efforts. And I say this as someone with NO artistic talent whatesoever, and I totally did not enter the CW contest. Maybe they can get something along the lines of a trophy on their profiles :) Like a silver for entering the contest and a gold for those who won????

I've got three books and three stickers, but I didn't get the other prizes (maybe they're just for the winners), it is normal? Also, the event popped up and the items appeared like a milllion times, I thought my inventory would get swamped with these items, but thankfully they didn't.

Okay so the book popped up at the bottom, hopefully the sticker does as well. I don't collect them, but I know how much this sucks so hopefully it finds its way in the shop as well r___r

I loooove the idea of things being available to purchase, thought I rather see it in SP currency xD Specially because I really like the items, and I know a lot of people whom identify with them as much as I do 8)

I just want to say thank you for making it possible for peeps who didn't enter the contest to purchase the prizes! A seriously nice surprise and I'm really glad Subeta is trying out doing event prizes this way - for many many reasons I've usually completely missed out on items like these in the past. And the prices seem about right to ensure that the items retain their value as well. Excellent! c:

I just might have to figure out a way to get the Discarded Sketches and Wireless Tablet. As an artist (albeit an fairly amateur one) I am incredibly familiar with the RL version of the first and sometimes find myself wishing for the latter.

For participating I got "only" the first two items. I guess the other only went to those that were chosen for the next round.

I deliberately stayed out of this because I can't draw, and can't afford to pay someone. If I had known there were participation prizes I would have submitted something.

while I'm fine with the items being released in the shop I think the reasoning is rather... wrong. there is precedent for the total opposite of this and no one should have expected to be able to get the prizes even for csc unless they earned them. i do imagine that being publicly released but for csc will actually put the long term value of most items higher than if it was done otherwise though.

the first 2 prizes on the list. Those prizes were for those who only sent entries. The others I think that were for getting up for votes, and winning (the last one)
