Peka-Boo: Get Your Fashion Fix!

Well good afternoon, festival goers! We sure do hope youâ€™re enjoying the first full day of the Peka-Boo Festival! Weâ€™ve had a chance to grab a few hours of sleep, and weâ€™re ready to celebrate with some new things for you to check out while youâ€™re here.

First off, we are happy to announce that the Fashion Yurts are now open for business! Please come in and check out the very latest in festival fashion from your favorite designers. It took everything in my power not to snatch up their entire inventory immediately!

Also, keep your eye out for helpful volunteers who will be floating around, passing out some useful items for your sunburnt cheeks and parched lips. Consider them free gifts from us to keep you healthy and happy all throughout Peka-Boo.

Ermâ€¦speaking of keeping healthy, weâ€™ve noticed litter beginning to accumulate on the festival grounds. This is so unfortunate! If you see any in your path, would you mind picking it up and holding onto it? Weâ€™ll be meeting later in order to try and determine how to best dispose of the mess. Stay tuned!

Finally, while weâ€™re overjoyed with the kindness and generosity weâ€™ve seen displayed at the The Wishing Shrub, weâ€™ve had some of you approach us and admit that you may have made a wish that you now regret. Therefore, weâ€™ve tweaked the rules a bit to allow you to cancel your wish if it has not been claimed after 2 hours. Wishes should start to be able to be cancelled around 5:00 pm today, if youâ€™re interested in giving it another shot. We have also made it so you can only claim one wish at a time â€“ this is all about spreading the love, right? â€“ and so that if you grant a wish, but aren't able to decide on your own wish that day, your wish will still be available to be made the next day â€“ cool, right?

Even though you granted a wish, you still have to wait five minutes before granting another wish. It just displays the wish you most recently granted.

So many nice items. Very cool. Reading the posts I see a pic in a post and I think that sure looks like my HA. Do the whole view image info and sure enough, that is my naked avatar. Did the wardrobe disappear or something for a bit while I slept? :)

I honestly don't understand why there has to be a tab FULL of CSC only items- they shouldn't be there, they should be in the cash shop, where all previous event-related items for CSC have been.

That said, I'm very upset that all of the Couture items cost CSC, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. There's no need for CSC only items during an event which is supposed to be free-fun (for SP, not real currency). There should have been a currency for this event like all the others, or there should be a way to earn CSC temporarily during the event.

Thank you for fixing the wishes though, I was a little annoyed that I couldn't grant any wishes :( Maybe now I'll catch one or two.

I kind of agree with the others. have csc items for an event is messed up. If it was the CW's from the contest that at least makes sense charging csc for event items makes it so not everyone can get them and thats unfair for it being a site event. The VIP passes was wierd needing passes at all was wierd for a site event in my opinion but it seems to have worked out this isn't...

I did wish the cs items were a set, like the cozy set and such. 125 each item seems a bit steep. Id be more inclined to buy them if they were a set or discount if you buy them all.

Hoping the wishing shrub gets better, if not you guys really need to set a 10mil limit or something.

I agree that it's exploration the CSC clothes. It'd be better if they were in a new tab at the Cash Shop, and not only for 10 days, but well, they are foccusing a lot on the CSC currency lately. Maybe because they need to pay the employees to keep Agoge running. And I don't know if the mods receive anything, but they should. I'd totally support the CSC foccus if that was to the mods

Actually, we paid the VIP tickets and got the extra items. Think that it was like a CS trunk... And 250 CSC for 5 items isn't expensive. Also, there are the VIP food truck foods and the VIP Lounge. Maybe there'll be more perks, but I think the perks until now are ok

I have to agree with Inknote and Anathema I also paid with csc so why do we have to spend more csc to get some of the items, I am not even keen on the csc items there are nicer items in the cash shop.

You guys have absolutely got to be kidding me with this CSC stuff. Plenty of us got the VIP tickets. Even that was shady to me -Events should have equal chance to everyone and not everyone can afford to spend money on pixels. Sorry, that's just it. I actually GOT a vip ticket, and I think it's complete bull.

First of all.. I pay csc to become VIP and we -still- have to use csc to buy items? Pssh.

And next, so those of us who ask for a 1mil item get it quickly, then wait until the next day. Yet every 2 hours someone greedy can ask for more expensive items and hope they get it. Then if they don't get it within two hours then can change to another perhaps lesser expensive item? Rinse and repeat. How is that fair. Change it to once a day or just let the wish be cancelled today only. I personally would ask to not give them the chance at all to change it.

Bit bummed to see a lot of the great pieces are CSC : I always look forward to events cause they offer a lot of stuff that is either earned with some other currency or SP, and yes a few perks that requires CSC but to see so much that can only be bought with CSC is a bummer. Why not just release them in the Cash shop like usual and leave it out of those special shops for the event?

i'm so irritated!! I got a GA and it's not working to auto price anything in my shop. and NOW I can't view anything on the second or third tab pages in the new yurt shops! I can't click over to them. It has to be a subeta bug issues because I've restarted my computer, logged in and out, tried different browsers and done everything I can on my end.

Please fix this issues because I really want to participate!!!! <3 thanks! <3

@ Evy Actually there are lots of people granting wishes for ridiculously priced items, and a thread about it has been put up in the bragging board. When people see that others got those outlandish wishes granted it's just going to keep people asking for the same.

I agree that over the next few days that it will calm down, at least, I am hopeful anyway. :)

There are so many items. I'm not even halfway to my goal point and I am going to be spending a good portion of my savings on this stuff. A lot of which I don't want, but shhh, hoarding. I don't think I will be able to grant wishes still, since I may be going over budget with just merch.

Heh, a CSC recolor of eyes that have been noted as not aligned... In the many recolors it's come in. I love you, you've done some of my favorite eyes, but can we get different eyes redone a dozen times over ? Bean, Bean do more colors of those fallen star eyes because wow are they still perfect and I need green ones.

If they didn't get their first expensive wish granted, sure they can ask for another one, but people will have realised by now that asking for a cheaper item will give you more chance of actually getting it, rather than asking for another almost unobtainable one. I really think this is a good move.

Just a word of caution! I just bought one of all the sP items from just the accessory section and I have gotten SIX doubles. I dont mind the cloths since I will buy doubles anyway ; hoarders unite : but I dont want all the plush n bean doubles.

Since this is only day one of a week long festival, I don't think there's a need to be so uptight about this. You'll still have plenty of chances. Besides, I think it's a good thing that Subeta sometimes listens to the user-base and make changes accordingly.

Some of the items are still cached from when they were set to staff item so you can't see them. They should all be corrected and will catch up soon!

So basically, people who ask for very expensive items can then cancel them after a couple of hours if no one granted their wish and then re-ask for some other expensive item in hopes they'll get one of those instead and they can do this every two hours. Meanwhile those of us that ask for items under 5000sp have to wait until tomorrow for another wish to be granted. Is that what you're saying? Because that is bullshit. Also, Lets not kid ourselves here. This is not about kindness and generosity, it's about achievements. Yes, there are some nice people who are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, I know that, but the majority are doing it for the achievements.
