New Gift Wrapping!

We\'ve simplified the gift giving process this luminaire by purchasing all of the stock of wrapping paper that the Holiday Shop has! You can now send gifts directly from the gift wrapping center without worrying about finding wrapping paper! We\'re even giving everyone 10,000sP if they redeem their wrapping paper from their inventory, since we aren\'t taking it anymore!

The owners of the holiday shop have taken the sP from the purchase of the remainder of their stock and skipped off to retirement in Veta!

K ignore me, Keith already said what was on my mind about genetech items. I'm just really glad I bought all of the wrapping paper items for the hoarder achievement already :(

Glad to see the prices seem to be coming down a bit, that is great.

Love the idea of this - though I prefer to spend sp on my presents for people rather than mainly on the wrapping!

Whilst leaving gifts under trees is fun, there's nothing like ripping off the paper from a fresh gift in your inventory! :)

Guess I'll be sticking gifts under the tree for free. I may be able to afford 15k per gift, but that doesnt mean I want to SPEND it.

I agree with , this is actually generating sPs instead of sinking them. Would have made more sense for the subetateam to buy up all the wrap in peoples shops or at least all wrap that was 10k or under.

Just a strange question... why would you change this in the middle of the season? Why not alter it afterwards and begin it for next year? Seems kind of silly to change it now... especially when new folks are still trying to get the achievement for sending wrapped gifts!

15k/gift sent is NOT an insignificant thing to "complain" about. Maybe you're rolling in sPs, but a lot of us aren't XS

Putting 2 of each into my gallery, then redeeming the rest for a sweet 2mil. I hope the price comes down for sending gifts though, that kind of ruins it for random gifters

Make them 5k and I'll be okay with that. :s 10k for each paper seems like a LOT of generated sP... I know a lot of people save the ones they get to use it in the future. Can only imagine how much they're going to be making. o__o;; I mean go them for sure but is this whole thing going to be more of a sink orrrrrrr...? Heh. I guess you gotta give them a good incentive to get rid of it, though, too. Oh well. I still say 5k and I'll use it.

10k is a lot to receive from turning in these papers. I can buy papers now that are still cheap, turn them in, and make profit. So this actually seems to be less of an SP sink at the moment and more of an SP generator.

As usual, something changes and people find insignificant things to complain about o/

Oh well, I still think this is a great change and just makes gift sending easier. I will miss the holiday shop for the non-wrapping paper items, but I'm assuming the items will just stock other places, or there will be some kind of replacement shot.

The prices have been lowered. 7k / 1k. Still seems kinda expensive, but it's more reasonable now. c: I appreciate the fact that we were listened to, though.

I'm fine with this update. We need to get rid of extra sP and I don't send gifts... ever. I like that some of the gentech combos will be much harder to get now with the phasing out of the wrapping paper.

I don't really understand why people are complaining about the 15k cost to send presents. Compared to how easy it is to make sP, it's like spending hardly anything, imo.

Achievements - built into the new page. Genetech combos - Whoops, an oversight. I'll see what we can do about this. The price - Yup, this is meant to be a little bit more of a sP sink now. We'll see the usage and adjust as necessary :)

Not all gentech combos are forever or easy, but we may find other ways to release them in the future :)

I think a lot of you are forgetting the times of 40k+ wrapping paper inflation during the holidays. We wanted to make sure it's a stable price year round for everyone!

There are still two free ways to send gifts during Luminaire, and one year-round.

Just posting again to say I really like the general idea of this, (I'd even supported a similar suggestion!), I'm just sad to see the actual wrapping paper items go since they had other uses (plus I think the price is a bit too high) and I'm also bothered that the person's username doesn't show anymore on the gift sent message :/
