Tres Chic Winner: Gwenyth!

It came down to the line this round, but the votes have been tallied, and Luciana Adessi is saying goodbye to the Tres Chic competition today! Some of her goods will be available in the Cash Shop for a limited time.

"It seems like this isn't the right time for me, but I will never give up my dream. I know that I am supposed to create great things, and I look forward to the day when I see people wearing them around on the street, even if it isn't today."

We are also proud to declare our winner Gwenyth Verdi! After several grueling rounds of competition that tested their creativity, passion, and eye-for-fashion, Gwenyth has proven herself to be at the head of the class. Some of her goods will be available in the Cash Shop as well.

"I can't believe it! I worked so hard, and though I stayed positive, I never imagined that I would actually win! It's like my very own Cinderella story come true. Thank you so much to the voters for helping me achieve my goals, and thank you to the judges for all of your critique, no matter how harsh it sometimes was!

I look forward to releasing my Subeautique line as soon as possible, and I plan to make it the best that I can. Again, thank you to everyone for your support!"

I'm really disappointed that pie won as we have 3 tique lines by her already. And it seems gwen's style already looks a lot like the mimi moe stuff anyway so it's not even something different.

Would have loved for luci to have won but hopefully that particular artist will get her first tique line very soon.

Dang.... I knew it... Congratz to Gwen, but i really would have liked to see Luciana's style as a SubQ line. Gwen just seemed all over the place in her style , where I thought Luciana was very chic all the way through. But to each their own. I'm still excited that there is going to be a new SubQ line! :)

These results, they do not surprise me. -_- But I will congratulate Gwen even so. Even for one who is so addicted to the sweetness, I have seen glimmers of style sneaking through in her work. I only hope that it will blossom forth into true fashion as she creates her new line!

. Any friendship/rivalry between contestants was all in the moment, none of that was planned or written beforehand! It just kind of happened. You can ping the respective NPC you're curious about and ask them about their opinion/relationship status with other contestants though.

Not surprised Gwen won, but really wish Subeta would have focused more on the story of the competition. The NPC's claim they are friends/rivals/etc. and yet we see none of that development via story. Where's the character development?

Not really. We all knew it was going to happen this way. Gwenyth's 'style' I guess you could say is usually the type of thing I LIKE, but I wound up only liking one of her designs. None of them appealed to me.

More frills and fluff. Hooray. I was personally rooting for the less girly competitors, but I'm not surprised that she won. I guess people prefer volume over originality :( Still, Luciana's lion design was definitely my favorite overall.

Lolita style's not my favorite, I liked Luciana's much more, but hopefully I can grow to like Gwen's new lines. Not a big fan of her CS dress, though.

is it just me or is the preview for the loose lacy vest not working? when I hover my mouse over it it just shows my naked HA base.. and it's not on SubetaLodge yet, I want to know what it looks like

I'm very happy Gwenyth won btw, I voted for her in every round. I love frilly, lolita-ish clothing :D and I really hope her sbq lines will include wigs too, cause the hairdo's her models had were freaking awesome <3

Also, the Haute Couture/Trash rounds gives me some hope for her SBQ line, but ultimately the Mori Girl/Lolita look just... isn't that appealing for me. It's also pretty standard, and something that has fair representation on Subeta.

Regardless, I hope that there are some good individual pieces if nothing else, and glad that those who were huge fans the whole time (she was certainly a fan-fave) got rewarded.

Eibon, the CSC boxes are MEANT to reflect our personal styles and other stuff we enjoy! My personal style is simple, laid back, and comfortable. That isn't what SBQ is (although I'd still like to have a set that is comfortable to wear haha. kind of important!)

To everyone who voted for me, thank you! I hardly expected to make it so far. I've learned a lot and I know I still have a long way to go. But I hope someday you'll be seeing more from me! This was a stressful competition but it was so, so worth it.

I voted for Gwen, because I liked her designs, but compared to those her csc box is rather disapponting (for me), I hope her line looks more like her designs and less like her curent outfit

Still in shock and trying not to pass out from the excitement! It was nerve wracking facing Luci in the final round...she and I have spent lots of time together since the start of the competition and have grown to be great friends. Even though we competed against one another it was always a positive learning experience for the two of us. We grew so much as designers and people since being here!

Designing a SBQ set is going to be difficult. I want to please as many people as possible, while sticking to my roots so to speak. If this competition has taught me anything, it's that I have a long way to go and always have room to improve my designs. I hope to make my fans (and not fans) proud!
