So... If an item is called "Mini Lain Beanbag" Would my entry be: mini, lain, beanbag, blue, bird? Or do I omit the item name parts? Someone please contact me via smail about this question please :D
Oh jeez, I know how long it takes to tag a much smaller inventory system. After so many years, and tons of items, I don't blame you guys for opening it to the public!

Is it 5 tags that you have to submit each time, or 5 max?
I always love doing these things :] Its fun to help and think of stuff. Its kind of a bummer when I see all the items just saying 'wearable, book' plushie' I know people would search that...but there would be so many results. Isnt this supposed to be to make it easier to find specific items by colour/holiday/etc? Or am I misunderstanding and should just be writing wearable as others instead of descriptive terms o3o
A tip, use the most common-sensical or simplest terms when tagging items. "Wearable" AND "clothing" make good tags, so I'd go with those for wardrobe items.
When they're done with this, they'll have items tagged by the most common tags from us, and they'll probably publish (or at least have on hand) some of the most popular tags to use while searching.
Tags are a great feature :) Put in what you'd expect to see when searching for an item.
Awesome idea... I've been wanting something like this on Subeta for ages. It's nice getting to help out, as well. :)
Interesting... What a nice idea but a few guidelines would be helpful. for example I put "wearable" as a tag for all the items that can be worn by your avatar. what if someone else decides a better tag would be "avatar item"
Why wouldn't we get the helping subeta with something important for doing this too?

Hmm mine seems to have fixed itself :). It must of been a slow cache issue. It is working now ^^. The error comes up if there is a space between words or an extra word is added in by accident ^^;. Thank you for the learning experience ^_^.
I've done 20+ tags already. It's just taking soooo looonnng to loooaadd.... I'll do more later.
I follow the directions exactly and it gives me this message: Oh No! Only 5 tags per item, please!

This is great! Seeing lots of items and having fun with tags... plus earning some sP and getting achievements, too. What's not to like!!! :D
Pretty neat idea, I'm sure it'll be very helpful looking for stuff. I've added tags to 50 items so far. Think I'm gonna take a break. ^^;

I'm learning about some new items doing this. xD I like going to Subetalodge and looking up where it restocks, what costume trunk it's from, what holiday it's for, the monthly collection it could be found in, because those things always help me and it makes me more familiar with some site items!
So we're just writing 5 adjectives for the items, right?

Yes, but you can only search an item by its item name. Lets say you want to search all the blue items on Subeta, but they have names like "Indigo flowery hat", "blue sunglasses" and "cornflower tie" while all of these items ARE blue, there is no way to unify them into one search, however, if they are all tagged "blue" then searching that one word will bring up all related items quickly and easily.
Just pushed a change that should help with the lag issues :)
This is actually a really neat idea, since us users are the ones who know what we'd look for. Searching by tags will make it so much easier to find TC and gallery items. And we get paid for it too yay.

Every time I click on the item tag it takes me down. I saw the avie this morning and now I can't see whats it all about.
It worked better last night when it was just posted on FB. sob Can't even get the page to load now.
"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /www/subeta.net/item_tags.php on line 50" ffff, it keeps saying that at the top. Does that mean what I input didn't work?
