Angelic Pets: Cure for the Blues

Well, the Luminaire Tree has (hopefully) long since been put away, and you might be thinking something is missing! No twinkling lights, no fairies, no gingerbread, no happy angel tree-toppers...

If you're having The Post-Lumineve Blues, perhaps a small helping of some angelic pets is just what you need!* The angelic tutani is brand new, and the angelic irion and fester have been updated! Hopefully, this will help!

LOL that Tutani....the poor fish looks like he's breaking his back. It looks painful!!! The idea is cute, so is the updated design...but that pose is horrid haha! poor thing!

i think its just me not seeing the bird actually sitting, but more like with its knees bent a lot, almost sitting.. in any case, the revamps were sooooooo needed. and we needed a new angelic pet as well. nice art

I love the updated Fester and Irion. However I dislike the pose of the Tutani. Fish that have severe nitrate poisoning bend like that and I can't get that image out of my head. The rotated image posted looks infinately better and healthier.

Amazing improvement over the older ones! They are all lovely, I especially like the coloring of the Irion. It is very fitting for the theme.

ohgod... i never thought about getting and angelic pet (to expensive for me) BUT that Angelic Irion! OAO I fell in love with that! <3 Sad, that i don't have a pet for that one to change. TAT (maybe i should get a now one in the future XD)

Can you believe I was just talking to someone last night about wanting/needing some angelic revamps/releases? Goodness, Subeta - timing! xD First, the tutani is adorable, and since I imagine it to be pretty soft/flexible, even for a killer whale-estique animal, I don't really have a problem with the pose (other than that it's making me somewhat dizzy). Second, the fester; I adore his feathers and expression - so precious and innocent! Like straight out of a child's dream. (: The pose does put me off a bit though (a bird sitting like that just feels a bit awkward and plush-like). However, overall, a very sweet and pretty bird. Lastly, the irion - I love its colours, and how it reminds me of a gold-embellished white peacock. The tail feathers look so soft and luxurious - I want to just reach out and touch them. I also like the touch of purple on his ornate feather and in his eyes. There are two things that bother me about him - 1) his wings look.. awkward (however, I can overlook this, as drawing wings in a tiny square box is just.. no.), and 2) there's something about his face(/face to ear ratio?) that's bothering me (although being the wonderful critic I am, I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is). It might just be the angle though, or that it's too early in the morning for me to think properly, but the ear just seems.. I don't know, too low or something? Haha, I don't know. Either way, he's a very handsome bird now, after the much-needed update. (:

The Tutanis pose feels extremely awkward to me. It's bent so far it has to be in pain. I think I would have liked its pose more had it been more like the Glade Tutanis pose.

I LOVE the Tutani and both Fester and Irion are much improved over the originals! However, I'll admit the "viewed from the back" poses of some of the angelics (Lasirus, Irion, etc) don't really sit well with me. While it's novel, out of the ordinary from other poses, I feel like so much of the pet is "missing".

Dang man these are awesome. I dont usually ooh and ahh over angelic pets because pastel isnt my thing. But the art is great. I actually enjoy the unrealistic pose the fester is in, it makes it seem less like a real animal and more like some sort of godlike creature. And compared to the old ones it is just dmskdfs. But I also am not a huge fan of most of the old art. So to me this is amazeballs. I really love the details on the feathers for all of them ;A;

I really, REALLY love all of these. I totally get that birds usually perch so the pose is unusual, but tbh I think it's perfect the way it is. I like how the feet are curled in to give it a more cute and innocent looking pose, since festers are usually more fierce looking. The Tutani's pose seems a BIT exaggerated but otherwise perfect, I love the giant wings and the cute swirls on the underbelly. The Irion's pose isn't an obvious choice either but I really like it the more I look at it- it really highlights the wings and the spots and the big gorgeous tail-feathers. I really love something about it's expression too, it looks very happy yet serene (: great job on all of these!

Okay, I'll be Miss. Unpopular again and just say it, I don't like any of these.

I don't care for Tunani's in general and I think the giant wings on the tail is just ridiculous. Why not make it's fins wings or give it wings on the back? Ah well, this is why I don't like the species anyway so I'll move on.

The Irion is alright, love the unique pose and the coloring is awesome, but I miss the playful pose of the old version.

The Fester is the worst out of the three, imo. Not only did it lose a pair of wings but why in gods name is it sitting like that? You mean to tell me with all that work you guys put into this birds anatomy during it's revamp, you forgot how all birds perch? It would break it's tail feathers sitting like that. You can have the bird low to the ground and still have it sit proper. Also, the facial markings are totally incorrect.
