Bake Stop Reopened!

Hi again, everyone.

I suppose you've noticed that I look a little different. I hope no one thinks less of me. I really tried to stick with my new life, but I missed my friends and family so much, and it's scary starting a new life when you're almost completely alone.

I imagine some of you are wondering about a... certain someone. Skitters supports me in whatever I do, but I'm not going to lie and say that he wasn't upset. I think he accepts my choice, though, even if he doesn't really understand it. He even joked that he might cure and pay a visit to me above ground some time, so hopefully that means things are blowing over!

Now that I am back, I will be reopening the <a href=/shop.php?shopid=24>Bake Stop, and leaving Elsie in charge of <a href=/shop.php?shopid=46>Half-Baked below ground. Hopefully everyone will be able to have access to all of their favorite treats, now.

Not going to lie, I'm really happy it happened this way. I find Fantine absolutely adorable, and I couldn't stand to look at her in her infected form. I'm glad she gave it a go, and that the underground bakery still exists, but there isn't anyone else I'd want in charge of the Bake Stop.

I was kind of looking forward to seeing a new NPC take over the Bake Stop, but as somebody who suffered the drippy gooiness of the Baker's Kiss myself I definitely don't blame her for curing ^_^;

Yeah, it does seem a bit flaky for her to change back, but seriously? I can relate. Leaving everything you know and are used to even if it means being with someone you love is hard. Extremely so. I gave up a job I absolutely loved, my friends, my family, and moved two states away from everything familiar to be with my boyfriend. There have been times I've felt so homesick I wanted to run. But I love him too much. But it still makes my heart ache something awful.

Buuuuut in the end... this is a game. ;)

Perhaps when humans and undead can learn to live together, you can change yourself and still visit your family and friends above ground freely. Or even just live on the surface, really. Let's keep hoping for a better world! Besides, if I were to become a zombie and STAY that way, I wouldn't want to have had THAT strain.

I want to see Skitters in his former life, for at least a brief period :(

(considering it would cause a shit storm huehue) Anyways, it's understandable that Fantine would do this -- her and Skitters both hinted at it. It obviously can't be that easy to leave your entire former existence. Good for Elsie, though, on her way to be an entrepreneur millionaire.

Well, I suppose most of us saw this coming from miles away.

While I'm glad that the bake shop is open again, I'm very disappointed in how this plot was handled. The steps were identical no matter what faction one went with and the ending was the biggest anticlimax I've ever seen in a plot. Fantine curing in a news post is honestly just pouring salt in open wounds, it just feels tacked like this. Fantine becoming a zombie was what started the whole thing after all, and this is how they choose to resolve it?

Subeta, Fantine, I'm thoroughly disappointed in these choices that you've made this year.

Haha; why is everyone freaking out about Skitters? This was their arrangement before the whole plot got started! It's just went back to the way it was, with a new shop open in the underground. And maybe it is a little; 'oh everything is back to normal' but it's not like Fantine was really go to stay a Zombie.. I mean c'mon you had to of known when they introduced Am.. cough I mean Elsie.

You string this poor boy along for a year, and then go to be with him, causing the entire planet to be almost torn asunder with drama and potions.... only when the boy has more important things to do like holding society together and apparently not give you enough attention, you pussy out. Would I blame Skitters if he dumped you for the available and eager Elsie? No I wouldn't, not one bit. He doesn't deserve to be treated like this. I hope you think long and hard before you pull a stunt like this again.

Yay! Fantine is back!!! :D

Let's hope this opens up for a new plot next year! Maybe Fantine will try to become a zombie again, but not as gross as she was, finding a replacement for the bake shop before she does. Or maybe Skitters will cure to be with his beloved Fantine, leaving someone else in charge of the Zombie Den. Or maybe they will try to find a way where zombies and non-zombies can interact in both worlds :D

hmmm....part of me knew this was going to happen, some people just arent meant for the shadowglen lifestyle year round. Im hoping shes seeing though all the crap and problems shes caused now though with Skitters and the underground, its split and fighting because of her, sorry for the harshness, plain stupidity. I mean didnt her mom tell her the oldest rule in the book??? Dont take candy/food/things from strangers? How bout the one where just because they say they know someone doesnt always mean they do? hmmm. finger to face COME ON FANTINE!!! Start using the thing on your shoulders!!

Regarding Skitters, would he be sexy healed...yes...even missing an arm, though Im sure he could get that fixed by the doc before curing...

Regarding Elisa shes adorable...and I am just happy shes staying, the shop is staying and Im happy the bake shop is reopening...wow...Im all opinionated! XD

Yay, that's what I was hoping would happen. :) Cured Skitters would definitely be interesting to see, I'd love if we got that next year (even if it didn't last, though I wish it would, heh). So glad the Bake Stop is open again.

lol, she cured 'cause Skitters wasn't even paying attention to zombified her, he was too busy with Ecks. But the origins of her infection was never solved.. does that mean she'll zombify again for next year's continuation of this plot?

And does this mean that Subeta has a cure for death? Because I'm pretty sure that last year, it was implied that Skitters didn't have much of a choice in his death, and it was actual dying, not just getting infected and a zombie disease takes over.

I didn't mind her being a zombie but...not a pink-gooey one. She's too pretty before her infestation. Though, I do think it's a little harsh for Skitters. Get his hopes up all for nothing. :/ Seeing a cured Skitters would be interesting. But at the same time...will Skitters become interested in Elsie? Dunno.

I did feel a little bad for her. Most zombie strands look at least a little human, usually mummy or dried out looking. She turned into a gooey, neon slimeball. Not the best introduction to being a zombie.
