Chibistraws - No, by the time they were selling merchandise (including their first ever merch, the tshirts at 99dogs) they were owned by Doug Dohring and his massive advertising company.
Believe me, I've done a lot of research on the things that Neopets did right and wrong in the respect of merchandise. We aren't heading down that road. :)
