It's plenty fin-y; the wings have been converted to look more like fins, the tail's a fin, there's webbing on the ears. You can't do -that much- with fins and bats, really. Plainness-wise, the pose doesn't give much space for "sea material", which would probably be in the fluff on its chest (can't see in this pose) or its legs (wings are in front of them), and it already has barnacles on its back + a sea star on its tail. Some of the other Hydrus pets feel overdone and too "busy" with all of their sea-traits, but this has a little sprinkle of those traits along with the blue and white markings. :p Simplicity is a really nice thing sometimes. Just my $0.02, but to say it's "too plain" is kind of ridiculous when you take into account the positioning.

I think it looks like it's diving, there fore I feel it's legs should be out behind it, like its actually under water swimming, it standing perched over just isn't Hydrus enough. And I do agree it's a little lacking in detail.

simple and nice, most others pet just have WAYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyy too much details on it and it too busy looking, nice one :)

I kind of want this. It looks like a giant bat haha. I dont like the Lasiruses' usually. But I do agree with the comments on it, but I find the end of the tail looks weird. Ill probably make one of these eventually :)

Not to piss everyone off (since any sort of crit usually does) But this really looks unfinished. It also doesn't look like it's species. I had a hard time trying to figure out which pet it was supposed to be, and actually I was pretty shocked that this is a New image and not an old one in need of a revamp.

With all the amazing work on the other pets, (that amazing Jollin for example) this one is really lacking in the shading. And to fit the hydrus theme, shouldn't it have some fins? or at least a bit more of the sea stuff like all the others?

I really thought this was a Wyllop with wings when i first saw it <-/.->;;

I do kinda miss the little details that generally go with a hydrus pet but I DO like that this is simpler than the Jollin. That one was just... way to much going on.

The art honestly isn't as good as the others, especially comparing it to the Jollin. And it lacks to details. It looks like one that is old and needs to be revamped. xD;

DUUUUDE, the wings are sooo beautiful~ And holy snot the pose. That pose is so epic. |D I love how he looks like he's getting in a pounce or battle stance or some such~ Subeta why do you make me want pets when I have no more pet slots. ;_;

This is nice, but it seems a little plain when compared to some of the other hydrus pets if you ask me. Still, the stripes on the wings are a nice feature and the pose is pretty dynamic, so that's cool.

Loved it (: Lasiruses are totally one of my favourite pets. I think a little more of shading in its face would be amazing, but yeah, is pretty cool.

Oooh, I like this. G I will admit that it seems a bit plain compared to other hydrus pets, but that's not really too much of a problem, I don't think, because the simplicity is appealing in a way. I do kind of wish it had longer fangs though, that would've been lovely and made it seem more fierce.

Anyway, I really really like the pose, very dynamic and cool! And those wings are so cool aaah, I always really love hydrus webbing and this is really well-drawn and very appealing! I really like the markings in this too. Usually hydrus markings are a bit overbearing but I think they were handled really well in this, there's JUST ENOUGH.

I really like the pose of this one, but I feel that it lacks some...Hydrus-y characteristics. I dunno, just seems a little plain compared to some other hydrus pets. Other than that picky note, it does look great!

The wings look okay, and some of the tail (it really just looks like a worm to me), but otherwise it looks sort of... flat, I guess, is the word. It could be a little shinier, but I'm picky. It's cute anyway, though!

I've been waiting forever for a Hydrus Fester. Now I am encouraged in believing that there really will be one. Just please put some more pearls and sea treasures on him then this guy... who looks like he rolled thru the mud and broke a few bones thru his skin.

Woa, this one is really nice. I really like the face. It still has that sort of cartoon-y feel like the older pets. I miss that. Some of the newer ones are a little TOO "realistic" lately. This is what I like. :D
