I don't normally comment, but I have to say that this is the best profile I have ever seen. Definitely deserved to win.

Some people's talents lie in stories, some peoples lie in art / profiles. This isn't purely a writing contest after all.

If you prefer story over art, that's fine, I'm sure a lot of people agree with you but why not go make a board and debate about it there, rather than leaving comments here implying (or outright stating in some cases) that no effort was put into this because it's based on art rather than writing? It was drawn and coded by Tombie herself, who no doubt put a lot of thought and effort into this (If you were an artist / profile maker you would understand how long that actually takes), and to say that she put "no work" into it at all is just plain rude. Have some manners, my goodness.

The layout is amazing, ! :) I especially love how the minion is worked into it :D

This is an absolutely beautiful pet. For people who seem to be completely unaware of how gorgeous this profile is and how much it deserved to win, let me point out a few things for you: the profile is absolutely beautiful. The way it is set out obviously had a lot of forethought into it because it's like an interactive scene. I want you to look at all the pieces of artwork that actually make up the profile; the pattern of the background that make up a seamless bookshelf and make it look as if it is a room. The detail in the overlay, the slight animations (the bat that glows, the tail twitch) that make it seem as if it's alive. It's also clever coding that when you hover over the overlay, the stats are shown.

This pet doesn't NEED a treasure chest or a story; honestly what do you think a row or two of 64 x 64 items are actually going to contribute to this pet? Or a few lines of text?

I am so disgusted by the negative, tactless comments that some of you have written, it floors me that some of you have obviously no taste and don't know how to appreciate fine work. Seriously shut the fuck up I'm sick of reading stupid, ignorant, tasteless comments on more than deserving pet spotlight winners.

I don't mind the lack of story, but I do mind lack of story AND TC. :< Especially the TC. I think they are tons of items who would fit such a lovely pet.

Hmm... guess it's just me but I don't think this warranted a win. It's so easy to get a profile and an overlay... Sorry, just the way I see it. Don't get me wrong, the profile and overlay are fantastic, but, where's the work? There's no story, and I know there doesn't always have to be, and there's no TC. There's nothing. There's no work. No work. :S I'm probably gonna get a lot of crap for this comment, but whatever. It's just the way I see it. :P

Definitely my kind of pet! Pets without some great big serious novel are some of my favorites/more of my personal style. n.n I absolutely love the innovation to the overlay.

Wonderful profile! I adore the animation, and how the overlay can lead to the stats. I think the lack of story speaks for itself; you can only imagine how the character acts, who they are. It's wonderful, and well done. (:

This is awesome! The overlay for the pet is incredibly detail, and the lack of a written story/character details is more than made up for with the kind of expressions one can see with trained eyes (that I lack) on the overlay and animation.

From what I can tell, a very heavy book-reader that apparently doesn't mind the bat(s) that hang around spaces in the many shelves of his large library or HUGE personal study.

The treasure is hidden if there is one. Still, I think it's a perfect example of a pet that deserves the win even though there isn't as much content so to speak... The art tells a story!

That is really cool. I especially love the pet and minion overlay. They're awesome. Also, NOT COMPLAINING: is there a tc? I wasn't sure if it was just there and I couldn't find it, lmao. It's still beautiful w/o, I was just curious.
