I don't think this Torrey looks malicious at all. I think he looks hurt and sulky. Like you just said something mean about him and he's holding back his opinions on you and your lineage. Because maybe you're bigger than him and you've bullied him before. So he just hides behind his tail and hopes you go away.
Maybe it's because I just watched the movie "Fantastic Mr. Fox" yesterday, but he reminds me of Ash, the little fox kid who tries and tries and nothing is ever good enough. So he sulks.

Erm... I really don't care for this one. I don't find it all that cute. To me, it actually looks like he's sniffing his tail and getting high, not cuddling his tail. I don't think that kind of cuteness goes with the normal (as shown here) expression of glacier pets, cold and mean. Sorry to the artist, and their vision, but I am just not buying this one.
