Some thoughts about the new Scratchcards layout/play:
-What happened to the NPC who sells them to you? Has she been eliminated? -There are buttons to buy multiple scratchcards now, but I don't see an option to pick which scratchcard you want to buy--has that feature been removed? -The "progressive jackpots" at the top means nothing at all to me. Can that have some kind of explanation, since it's the first thing that's seen on the page? (Also, the icons for it are pretty meaningless right now--it's just a square with the first letter in it, which means that Shinwa and Saggi both have just S. Can those be replaced, maybe with the art from the left half of the card?)
-Most importantly: I really hate the new click-and-drag to reveal. Sure, it's more interactive or whatever, and I'm sure it works well for touchscreens, but with a mouse it's less than ideal, and with a laptop touchpad it plain sucks to play. Can there be a way to toggle between the new click-and-drag and the old click once mode?

The click and drag to scratch the spots on the card is kinda hard with a mouse. I liked the click the spot to reveal the icon that we used to have before the revamp. Also, can the be put into the mix within the random 5 scratchcards option? It can be put in there sparing just like in the bathpools.
I also miss our NPC selling the scratchcards and the art has now... I don't think it scaled up well, it looks super blurry instead of sharp and crisp. The icons change to be 'SP Medium' 'SP Large' etc kind of bother me. It removes a lot of the charm from the older version.
And agreed, I prefer the point and click version & purchasing the direct card you want
I think the progressive jackpots are the most you can win on a jackpot on those scratchcards right now? But yeah, an explanation would be nice
Also I'd like to note that like DMD this was a change that was rolled out without warning or stated in the updates anywhere that I can find. It's kind of stressful for me, personally, to not know 'hey we're updating all the games so expect some changes in the next few weeks' to just suddenly stumble across them
Edit: Also a glitch with the 'scratch' mechanic, it's not always pulling it up so I'll have to exit and re-enter scratchcards to get it to work
I kind of like the new scratch cards including the option to buy 5 and I have no trouble using the mouse to scratch. The problem I have is that the spots to scratch show up on the 1st card I try but after that every card makes me refresh before the scratch spots show up. Yes the golden glory would be a nice addition.

I also like being able to buy five at once and I'm having the same problem as StarShadow with every card after the first showing just a blank field. I can still scratch it off but I can't see anything. I've also encountered an error after completing a card that says "no active game found" instead of "no luck, better luck next time" with "play another" and "back to games" buttons underneath, twice now. I haven't personally had any difficulty with the mechanics of scratching, with a touchscreen or mouse or trackpad, but I can imagine that someone with device or dexterity issues might.
I don't know if the chances of winning or anything have actually changed, but it feels like I'm winning better prizes than I used to before. Between that and being able to buy five cards at the same time, I'm way more likely to actually play scratch cards now. Before I'd only play if I happened to get a card in a random event.

I went through everything you flagged and pushed a quality pass today. Here's what changed and what's still on my list.
🐛 Bugs
The blank-card-after-the-first-one thing. and both ran into this, first card scratched fine, every card after that came up with no bubbles to scratch and you had to refresh the page. That was a real bug, my fault, and it's fixed now. The canvas was holding onto a destination-out compositing mode from the previous game, which meant the next paint was erasing pixels instead of drawing them. TLDR: Reset it on each new card and you're good. Play as many in a row as you like.
"No active game found" instead of your prize. The finish step could fire twice in a row (stale tab, race on the auto-finish timer), and the second call would error out because the first had already cleaned up the game. Added a guard so finish can only fire once, and if a duplicate does sneak through it just drops you back to the front page.
The "scratch sometimes doesn't pull up" glitch. : same root cause as the blank-card bug. Should be gone too.
The interaction
Click-and-drag is rough on a mouse or trackpad. I don't want to take the scratch motion away — it's good on touchscreens and some people clearly enjoy it (I do!) but I hear that some folks feel like it's worse than the old click-once. So there's a Scratch / Tap toggle right above the card on the play screen now. Pick Tap and a single click on a bubble reveals it. Your choice is remembered the next time you visit. Both modes use the same odds and same animations, just different input.
The booth
Where did the NPC go? Meli's back. Her portrait sits at the top of the booth with her "Aloha! Care to try your luck?" greeting, the cooldown copy says she's catching her breath, and her one-liners on the play screen are written in her voice again.
Picking a specific card. You should be able to do this. Below the Random Pack buttons there's now a Pick A Specific Card grid showing every card type with its item art and a Buy button. Same 5-minute cooldown on the booth either way; the random pack just lets chance decide.

The art
Progressive Jackpot icons. I also added a one-line explainer above the grid to explain what the Progressive Jackpot section actually means.
The "SP Medium" / "SP Large" labels. very prize symbol now uses proper icons: a bronze coin for small payouts, a coin stack for medium, a blue gem for large, a red gift box for items, a star gem for special coin prizes, a yellow lightning bolt for stat boosts, a question mark for mystery prizes, a gold trophy for the jackpot, and a red X when you struck out. Labels read like English now too — "Small payout", "Mystery prize", "No match" — instead of the raw symbol keys.
The card art looking soft. every card art file (scratchcards/*_card.png) is 300×150 pixels native, but the play screen displays it in roughly a 300×340 frame, which is about a 2.3× upscale on the height — and on retina displays that's effectively 4–5× scale. That's the blurriness you were seeing. I shipped a small CSS rendering hint as a stopgap so the upscaling uses smoother interpolation, but the real fix is re-rendering those eight images at 2× resolution. That's its own task and something I can't really do, but it's on the list!

The main scratch card page is a little busy now, which has pushed our 'owned' scratch cards down the page. When I click on my owned scratch card to scratch, the next page loads with the scratch card above the viewable area, so I have to scroll up to scratch. Can the 'dimmed' scratch cards be removed somehow when Meli's catching a breath? Or maybe our owned scratch cards could be placed higher? If you give it a try, you should notice the same issue on desktop (Chrome.)
I like that Golden Glory scratchcards were added to the random pack. The Golden Glory jackpot isn't really high enough to justify scratching one at this time, so hopefully that balances out with this change.

OK so here's another problem with the scratch cards. It doesn't always give me what I supposedly won. I just won a stat boost but it gave me 25K SPs instead. Not the 1st time this has happened that it gives SPs instead of the item/coin/stat.
