I know the pirates are already out, but I want to point out that y'all shouldn't jump to conclusions just because one thing was decided initially, so something else would be considered. Yes, I had no intention of dealing with pirates this year because we were planning on having the islanders (the sea monsters weren't mentioned at all! I had two on my list at the very least). It was brought up that they hadn't come back last year + they have achievements, which were good points, and so I listened and said I'd talk to . I worked with to accommodate the no new loot being done by giving him a (long) list of retired pirate items that didn't come back via the shop or Carl this year.

Dialogue is always encouraged, but immediately being annoyed without asking questions or voicing (respectfully!) suggestions discourages me from trying to do anything interesting for y'all (not just battlers, but users in general). I try very hard to be upfront about decisions or updates (when I can), and to see people go negative right away with no regard for the humans working for the site is hard.

So, in short: If we release something that wasn't what we promised/mentioned, or if we end up not doing something at all, you can certainly point it out. Ping me and include your reasonioning! I'm not a robot, I can compromise!!!
