I think I have 10-12 books in my Kindle library waiting to be read, LOL.

Just forgot I have a four book sci-fi series that's been in my kindle library for a year. Ooops xD

LOL I have so many different books that have been sitting on my shelf for many years. I saw this Tik Tok of this girl who had a lot of books she has not read so she took them all wrapped them in wrapping paper and each time she finished one she would open another just so she read them all. I think that is a great idea to not buy new books but still get surprised when you open the next one to read.

you are welcome! Meez is sick, long story short his meds and food are not working. Had to get an ultrasound of his bladder, kidneys and belly last monday. They also took urine to culture. I will get results somewhere today and a plan of what to do.

I keep saying I'm going to read the easily 100 books I own that are TBR and then of course I find something new xD Buying books at the used book store is such a comfort.

So, so sorry to hear that. We had an emergency with our little boy Kai (well he's baby cat but he's also 10 years old) last year. We almost lost him. Turned out he had some ongoing GI issues and switching his food to low fat made a big change after he was all better. I hope Meez is okay <3

- Oh, hon, 4th Wing will rock your socks off. You know how I am about romance books. I don't read them unless they're written by you. But, a while back a friend told me to read it because it was based in a military college. I was doubtful I'd like it but I fell head-over-heels for it. Put Dune aside and give yourself a real "romantasy" treat! 😍

- omg, you're reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Moss? Have you read any other books of hers? If you haven't, you should read all 3 of her series in order. It's an amazing story. My favorite out of all of them is her Court of Thorn and Roses. It's a very creative retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story. Also, read what I wrote to saxhleel about 4th wing. ;) Sorry you're having to go it without any gov aid but at least the insurance co is paying out. My s-i-l is still waiting on reimbursement for damages from Hurricane Ian from her insurance. XD Also, I was wondering, do you feed your pets any of that pet food that looks like people food and you have to keep in the fridge? I think one of them is called Farmer's Choice? :? I'm curious what you think of it, is it better then the traditional pet foods? Yeah, I'm full of it today. 😆

- When I used to get migraines, I couldn't have any kind of sound around me at all. So, I cocooned myself in silence. I think you're lucky that you can listen to audio books when you feel lousy like that. Is there any special genre that you like? :D

- So, what did the vet say about poor Meez? I really hope they're able to give him some relief from this illness. :) I can't wait to go out with my newly minted 21 year old. We're hoping to get him tipsy. He's such a good boy that I think he'll be funny when he's tipsy. I don't know how I got so lucky to get such a good son. Then again, he does balance out his older brother who is my problem child. XD I hope I didn't jinx you over your presentation next week by saying how I'd be all nervous if it were me. IIf I love a book series, I usually won't watch a tv show or movie based on the series because they almost always deviate from canon and I don't like that. To date there's only one exception and that is the Bones tvshow. The tv show is so wildly different from the book that it's very easy to simply dismiss canon and enjoy each on their own merits. :) Thanks for posting a pic of your tattoo. She said it was to spend time with her family and that nothing was wrong. Writing the third book took much time away from family to finish it for the deadline. However, the next two books do not have deadlines, so they will come out when she feels ready, so she has more time to spend with her family.

Rebecca is involved with the making of the TV show for the fourth wing. She is very strict about what she wants in it and who plays what characters. But I do understand that when they make movies or TV shows out of books, they change things that were great in the books. I hated Twilight for that.

I love Bones! I watch it every night before bed. I have never read the books, so I can't compare them.

My Fourth wing tattoo is Tarin (Violet's Black Dragon) with wings spread out, and Andarina (Violet's Gold Dragon ) on Tarin's back, with Violet's ruin dagger wrapped around both dragons' tails. In a circle around the dragons, it states, "A dragon without its rider is a tragedy, a rider without their dragon is dead".

That tattoo will be my last one for a while. I have a car payment and insurance now, so all my money is going to my car. You've got to love being an adult sometimes, LOL.

If you don't mind, I'd like to know how old you are and what caused you to become blind. If you do not feel comfortable answering, I completely understand. I do not wish to make anyone uncomfortable; I was just curious.

Never stopping Dune =D

Though dragons and dragon riders in a series is sooo tempting. Dragons always improve a series ;)

After the current Dune book I'm on I may read the next Dark Fae book. Finally.

I would never want to be involved in an adaptation as if you do things right people will hate it. If you do things wrong people will hate it. It's all about finding a balance between getting the source material onscreen and making sure it fits with a visual medium. I couldn't handle that pressure.

The darned thing did it's best to kill me but I kicked it's butt. I live in a lovely apartment where I furniture surf to get around. My hubby and youngest son take care of me: get me to doctor appointments, get me food since I'm not allowed to cook anymore (they don't want me to burn down the apartment eye roll ( and do my bidding. Let's see, I'm also diabetic (I'm a really bad diabetic because I'm constantly sneaking sugar ;) ) and have Congestive heart failure. I was in the hospital in February for surgery to correct a cardiac effusion that was so large ( 2 12 ounce soda cans of fluid) it tried to kill me. They figured out at the time that I have a connective tissue disease that caused the effusion although they couldn't figure out which specific disease I had. I'll find that out on July 29 when I see the rheumatologist. Since the surgery I've felt 100% better, all full of energy, piss and vinegar my hubby says. 😆 Please, if you have any questions, ask them. I completely agree with you! I can barely manage myself most days LOL. I could never direct a movie and then get criticized about how horrible it is, what was missing, and what was wrong with the book. I could never do it. Every!

I have read the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, though I did not finish it. I have no idea why. I got to the novel and got bored, so I have not read Nesta's story yet. I have not read the other authors. I think I have a Temperance Brennen novel; I can't remember where it is in my TRB pile, LOL.

My goodness! You have a lot going on. I am glad you made it through all those conditions and can be here talking with us. My family is diabetic on both sides. I'm borderline, and they found out recently that I have high insulin levels. But I could never give up on sugar either LOL. I would be sneaking it too. I'm glad you are feeling a lot better, too.

This is entirely off-topic, but I am glad I took Medical Terminology during my Phlebotomy course. Without that course, I wouldn't have known what most of the conditions you stated were.

I think its so ironic and interesting that you are a Phlebotomist that is also trypanophobic (fear of needles). I've told that on one hand the chronic severity and nature of each of her issues by themselves is medically completely fascinating. And then because they are combined in one individual, it is just mind blowing - riveting. And things keep happening. But on the other hand they are also so horrifying my heart just goes out to her and I wonder who in the galactic cosmos she pissed off that just needs to get lost already.

Many of us have issues here, myself included, and its nice to be able to sometimes talk about them to others that understand and sympathize. Its also true that sometimes we don't want to say anything, just get or pass out the occasional hug. That by itself means a lot. So welcome to the group. And Hugs. Just because. <3

No sleep for the wicked! I was up at 9am, left home at 10pm strolled into downtown to visitthe saturday market. Bought cheese, bread, fruits and cookies (outmeal, cranberry). Then had tea and apple pie with some girls. Shopped some more and strolled back home. I was so sweaty and hot when i got home from all that walking i had to take a shower. Been a couldy but warm day here.

Meez is ok! All his labwork and ultra sounds are ok, happy camper here. He just needs special feed, will get that next week as i still have food for him and not trowing that way.

lol i hope for you, you get him tipsey lol! Enjoy the schnitzel! Love those with mushrooms, unions and little pieces of bacon. Just making myself nervous for the presentation thursday as it is also a part of our grade. Will be fine, we got it all worked out and we know what we are talking about

4. When I played before, I don't think groups were as much of a thing back then, but it'd be fun to have a circle of people to chat with who are also into virtual pets/ avatars LOL
5. I'm a big geek in real life, I actually used to play subeta back in the aughts but I lost track of what email I used for that account LOL... So I made a new one 7 years ago! I love cute things! I just had a baby who is less than 3 months old, so revisiting subaida has been a lifeline helping me stay sane during the constant feedings LOL

Also, fun fact: all of my pets are named after real pet rats that I've had in real life (you will notice a rat theme LOL)

rats are awesome. I never had one but I baby sat them. I have had a bunny since I was 13, different bunnies one at a time. I don’t have a Kanis on Subeta because it would make me sad when bunbuns pass.
