I didn't explain myself very well. By general comments I meant reports of which items have become ridiculously inflated and which items are being asked for repeatedly etc.

An example of a suggestion. Have all the Kumos shops stocking items.

1. Runway Ready asks for items from Clothing Rack, Sole Train, Accessory Bin, Icy Goods and Beach Shack
2. Pete asks for food from any shop selling food as he does in the legacy quests.

The current system lends itself to users figuring out what the item pool is for each quest giver, which is why things become very inflated! It's happened around 3 times now from what we have observed (pool being figured out and stock being bought and sold at hyperinflated prices). There needs to be more randomizing of items asked and perhaps rotating pools, so that items don't become stagnant. Bearing in mind, items needed do restock, they are just snapped up very quickly, and with the way quests are right now, with the repetitive nature of items being asked more than once and dual item pools, it wouldn't take long for every item to become like how things are, if that makes sense. Also doesn't help that the 1 a day limit some items have seems to not be doing anything positive to the economy.

Something needs to change within the quests themselves, not the items. Kumos shops items also are more expensive than legacy shop items which is something we have noticed and really don't understand, we use both sites while questing.

Another thing thats strange is that, prior to Kumos, this was not an issue at all-- overinflated items, dual pools, every issue brought up. Only now is it affecting the legacy site quests. This was clearly a non issue before, it's confusing that a system that was working has changed so drastically in the short time of Kumos quests being tested. While we are on the side of less quests and more gain, if it isn't broken...

The legacy quest system needs to be transferred to Kumos quests. The other day Pete kept asking me for a White Beer Helmet - as it is still 350K in user shop search he must have been asking everyone for this item multiple times.

Indeed, Pete's pool table has run dry, and the fact that staff hasn't commented at all is concerning. Mauve we sort of understood, but when it's basic food adjacent items then it becomes an issue that, as been brought up, affects users who aren't doing Kumos quests. Honestly, don't know if there is a clean way to fix any of this, we really had hoped for more close feedback on issues being reported and fixed when they weren't such an issue, but here we are.

The Kumos quests need a complete overhaul. Keith does temporary fixes which work for a couple of days and then we are back to square one. As for Mauve, there are currently 500 unique items in the Kumos Clothing Rack so there is no need for him to keep asking for the same few items over and over again.

I've mentioned this before, yet: Legacy Maleria has started asking for r99 weapons as well, which she never has. Does her kumos alter ego influence her?

Again as well: what's going on with certain kumos shop stocks? Spells Galore being the weirdest among them, with - I believe - only the very same 9 rares and super rares available for months by now. Bits and Bytes follows suite.

What does this mean?

Performance More purchases = more trucks --- they DO arrive (normally), yet with the very same cargo all the time? ⚠️ Nearly full - items may rotate out

And I can't make any rhyme of the quest result explanation, either - what is it based upon and especially, what is Quest season sp?

Reward Breakdown Base quest reward --- o.k., be it whatever based on who questgiver is Item value bonus --- doesn't match the cost of items at all "Based on the value of items you turned in" - in another universe... NPC reputation bonus --- o.k., miserable, to say the least. 100sP more or less doesn't have any impact, honestly... Quest season sp --- ???

Item hover still broken...

Now does no longer say correct number of done quest on all quest givers page, either: stays at "5/5 left"

PPS: More or less lately policy was "we don't/no longer encourage hoarding" - those, who followed suite (I, too, dumped a lot into RB, when we had to empty our old shops...), once again are at the back end re kumos questing. Just saying...

def don't want to dogpile here but just chiming in that im also noticing the inflation problem big time :,) I was only able to complete 5/5 quests for maybel, wizard, and rumi today, the rest all asked for items 500k-1m+

I was able to complete all quests 5/5 today with NO insane prices/unbuyables. It seems Saggi is pulling from a larger pool of items (combo of weapons and All that Glitters). I made 2.5 mil pure from Kumos alone today. <3

just wanted to say this was also working great for me today! didn't have to cancel any quests. only hiccup was maleria asked for the same 2 items for all 5 of my quests, but the prices weren't an issue. the items were for reference! :)

must of missed the memo, saggi asked for 500k+ items for all 3 quests. glad for everyone else though! [edit] it seems as though quests stealth reset? checked out of curiosity and everything was available again, and can chime in also that there wasn't anything ridiculous-- the only issue was the one pointed out.

really hoping for staff feedback, though! would be nice to hear something, its hard to, for lack of better words, maintain faith without any sort of feedback, since we have seen this ebb and flow mechanic of quests being good for a time and then degrading into overinflation or scantness. it'd be more comforting to hear from anyone in the back that this is not just a pool change, or something that was auto done in the time being.

apologies for harping on about the lack of contact from staff, but it is a worry that there still hasnt been any response, at least on site. not sure what happens in the discord.

Yeah, so I was able to do all of the quests today (even Mauve) but I had the same issue with Maleria as other users... she asked for and for all five of her quests. Those items are still cheap at the moment but that was the worst duplication I've seen from these quests yet! Seems to me the item pools were rotated but nothing was actually fixed. Saggi also continued to ask for a couple duplicates today, they were just different duplicates so not yet hyperinflated.

I completely agree with that it would be really helpful and reassuring to hear some staff feedback here (as in, not on Discord). As far as we can tell, the quests are coded to automatically change the item request pools once a month or something and it's impossible to know if Keith actually had a hand in trying to fix anything today, or if he's touched it at all in weeks. Gonna be honest, it doesn't feel like this is being worked on at all right now.

And Sagittarius asked for the for all five of his quests. I managed to do 3 of them before the item got stupidly expensive and now it's gone from the shops :(

Saggi asked me for Wreathed Diamond Circlet, which is 1.000.000 in shops all 5 quests as well! I'm o.k. with 1 or 2, but having to skip all 5, because his payback doesn't cover the costs, even if I took one of my too few, is ridiculous. WHY is nobody dropping a word on all the issues?! respectively just silently removes the issues, which do not pop up on Legacy (fortunately, knock on wood)?

Maleria even worse, Lance and Snowball for all 5 quests. Saggi at least varied the other 2 items.

First of all, thanks for posting that! There's quite a few of us who aren't on the discord server so its nice to see what's happening on that side. Nice and, I have to say, a tad concerning.

Firstly having Keith ask which items have been problematic lately is a bit worrying since multiple folk have been bringing that exact topic up in this very thread for a few days now. Indicates that the staff either somehow missed that or, more troublingly, straight up aren't looking at this feedback thread on their own website.

The statement itself also has me scratching my head a bit since it seems like in the current state it'll just encourage users to hoard item pool items as much as possible? You know, one of the issues we're already seeing happen excessively? If the lance and the snowball being asked for over and over by being hoarded in a singular user's shop is a result of the system working as intended then that's not a good look and directly goes against the supposed "anti-hoarding" mechanics we're apparently getting implemented.

The only thing I can think of is that it's just a case of confusing wording here, and perhaps there's some background system that ensures an item needs to be spread evenly across multiple user shops to avoid it being just overstocked by one or a few users, but given what everybody's been experiencing with Kumos lately that doesn't seem to be the case.

More than anything else though it's incredibly disheartening to know that the forums on this website itself seem to be coming second in terms of communication with staff on site feedback. Not helping that "screaming fruitlessly into the void" feeling, that's for damn sure.

Not every quest being profitable is o.k., but it's ridiculous to ask for the very same items in 5/5 quests. Even more so, if not profitable!

It's kind of exasperating to hear that these duplicate requests are "working as intended" because... really? Not all of these items are the absolute cheapest and most plentiful things onsite. If they were, I guess I could understand, but there are definitely minions that are currently cheaper than the Black Octoplus, for example, and they weren't even in stock in any NPC shops when I got asked for them in five out of five Maybel quests. So I had to pay a slightly inflated usershop price five times (not so much that it was unreasonable but definitely not the cheapest junk clogging up shops). So why does the quest need to ask for so many of these right now?

I think there's something to be said for how the questing experience feels beyond just moving items in and out of existence for profit too, and getting asked for the same items over and over just feels weird, wrong and boring. I know there's enough cheap junk in shops that we could mix it up a little better than this.

Oh... I finished my quests maybe 15 minutes ago or something and got distracted before typing this up. The Black Octoplus has increased in value from around 11k to over 14k in that time. They're getting bought up fast. And the Wreathed Topaz Circlet, lol it was like 85k and it looked like there were a fair amount in shops but it's completely out of stock now. Completely out of stock, unbuyable, in like 15 minutes! Yeah this is working great!
