Thanks for the updates! I haven't been able to really access Kumos this week, looking forward to being able to use it again :)
I also wanted to give credit where credit is due: this transparent communication style you've taken on Kumos is extremely refreshing. It makes me so optimistic for the future of the site to see all of those updates, fixes and new/improved features. Plus, feedbacks from users is not only requested, but also taken into account and approciated, which seems to be doing wonder for engagement and participation on site.
I've said harsh things about the state of the site in the past, I think a lot of us did really. But this new start with Kumos, paired with this new way to communicate from the site Owner and Founder? It's great, I'm here for that.
With everything going on right now, we need safe communities like Subeta more than ever, and I'm glad to be here even if the still crash and if takes time for everything to be rebuilt.
Thanks for the update! And good luck fighting those bots. A pest.
It leaves me a bit nervous though. If scaling is already difficult with only a few test users, how will it be once the site is in full use? With dozens of avatar contests and whatever other nice features there will be?
And another thought on the reaction system: it's great. But it will lead to problems if each reaction is just added to the row - over time as they accumulate they will break all layouts. So maybe a solution like showing each reaction type only once but with the number of times given would be better? And an additional button for showing who gave what reaction in detail in a popup.
