Sorry, but the advertising forums have become very confusing and unhelpful. Advertising is a "strictly business" sort of place, not really a place people were having conversations. Its utility and functionality have been greatly decreased with the wanted, Cws, and basic advertising all lumped together. That forum in particular really needs to be sorted onto divisions, esp. because again, this is really only a business area of the site.

Edit: I know y'all are still working on things, just wanted to voice my concerns about this one area in particular! ❤️

Giveaways need to be separated from main sales because it's more newbie friendly with having them divided.

Having them blended together encourages confusion

I have my feedback / idea saved in my note widget because the anxiety makes me need to get the things out of my brain lol, but I don't want to add more input until we get the "it's done, give us feedback!" announcement.

So far I don't have any real issues with the forums, I think it's been long overdue, but I will say a few more sub forums are needed.

Seconding what has said about the advertising forum. It's one of the only ones I frequent lately and lumping give away, cw, and general items has made things super difficult when trying to weed out the cw specific threads. As mentioned, I agree having the give away threads separate for newbies is also important

I apologize if this has been mentioned on a previous page of this topic, and I'm happy to hear that forum organizing is in the works, but is there ever going to be a forum search feature? I know there used to be one a loooooong time ago but it never quite worked right, and then it went away. It's something that would be incredibly helpful, if it were possible to implement.

Keith did say in an announcement about this that the search feature is coming back!

I don't really understand why Suggestions & Ideas has a subforum called constructive feedback. How do you tell if your suggestion is constructive enough to go in that subforum? If you're trying to squish things that seems like an unnecessary subforum to me. From my perspective I'm reading it like the good feedback and ideas go into constructive feedback and everything else that we don't like goes into suggestions and ideas. I know it's a work in progress so totally get that this may change but figured I'd offer an early opinion on something that rubbed me the wrong way.

it's just the feedback forum but now as a subforum, which is fair enough imo, as i always felt like there was a fair bit of overlap between suggestions and feedback. i guess the "constructive" part of the name is to clarify that it's not just for making a thread to complain about something you don't like, but to offer meaningful input/opinions on site features, even if said input doesn't necessarily take the form of something that would fall better under the "suggestion" category.

like, the way i've always seen it is that feedback is more of a discussion—e.g. "this is how i feel about this thing and here's why. what do other people think? maybe by talking about it together we can find some useful or actionable insights."—while suggestions are more specific, concrete ideas for things you think should be added or changed.

Well no wonder i couldnt use any game threads. Also now cant find anything, finding this thread took way too long, couldnt find games last night then found them but they were locked. I guess forums will no longer be my thing seeing as i wont be able to play at all soon.
