Without sounding to dumb I knew AI was artificial intelligence allowing computers to kind of do their own thing, but that was about as much as I knew. I won't go into my thoughts or anything like that on it. I just wanted to thank you for explaining it a little more to me!

It's really such a shame that AI is still running rampant, AI has been invading all kinds of places. I can't even look up early photoshopped animals without some sort of AI trash getting in the way, same goes with a whole bunch of stuff. It's a major online parasite and I'm really glad you're doing what it takes to have it avoid stepping its foot on Subeta.

Also, I like AI art. Not here to argue with you all or have a discussion about it, but since people are making sweeping generalizations that "no one likes AI art", I'm just pointing out it's not true. I'm someone. I like it.

If they'd reached out to work out an agreement, where our data (like the illustrations that are trademarked and copyrighted) could be used for training in exchange for money we could have potentially worked something out.

It's more upsetting that this is a class of company that feels that they can take things like our art that we've been working on for more than 20 years, and feed it into a tool that we have no insight into.

Yeah, that's fair! I'm not saying you made a bad decision here at all, more power to you! I appreciate everything you do for this site.

I just find all the blind hatred of anything and everything AI-related upsetting. It's a remarkable technology that does a lot of good and has so much potential to change the world in amazing ways, but everyone just screams "AI BAD!" every time it's brought up without even understanding it.

No worries! It's a complicated subject for anyone, myself especially included, and I've worked around them for a while now. Partly because I don't like them in the slightest for how they obtain information with or without your knowledge.

AI is the main reason I changed fields - I'm trained as a graphic designer but AI made that nearly impossible as it stands right now.

Now, if you want good AI, I really recommend reading into Google Pixel's assistive frame and Boston Dynamic's robotic dog and the projects with ongoing in China for helping visually impaired people.
