A simple update on my automotive escapades, my dad's truck is running well, no engine light finally.

Tho I was able to get GeM running, she's not yet passable for inspection. The one issue is she runs rich, it may be sensors, or an injector. Worst case is a failed catalytic converter, which l intended to replace anyway. All this has to wait, GeM has drained all I had set aside for her. I'm glad to see despite the obstacles and the time idle, she ran as well as she did. I hope to get her back on the road by my nest birthday. I CAN do this!

No way! GeM's electrical issue was from a ground connection too many. Although the voltage is stable, it won't recharge or may have a parasitic draw somewhere.

Tho she has no dtcs or obvious signs of failure, I suspect the same thing could happen if I try getting her inspected. I have my homework, but I feel this can fall under my ability to remedy.

I'm grateful for this group, and your willingness to endure my rambling. Over yonder I have chosen to cut off any communication.
