Seriously though, he's kicking my butt. ME and Swashbuckle with blasters, stealers and healers Maybe it's my scrolls? What are others using? I've got Shreiks Psycho scrolls, strong stomp, cold blast lucky attached at present 230 AP Low tier 13

Maybe try using your ME with Extendable Elemental Trident (blocks ice and had heal) I try to freeze him as much as I can. I start first round with Shinwas Temple Shard and Intricate Energized Helmet with my heal scroll.

I do not have those equipped. I just started with Sizz. I might have to change up what I am using as I move down my list of pets.

Lucky x 2 - may drop down to one with smaller pets to have more freeze Strong Stomp or Shriek or Psycho x Many Tasselled Aegis - or whatever God spell blocks what your weapons don't

Ok I'm missing thunderball and sandreaver Also missing tasseled aegis scroll.

But at least I've got some ideas now. I'll play around with what I've got. I'm just boosting a bit then I'll try again.

I am using Swashbuckle and Corrupted Shadow Sword for constants, replacing the Hydragellos Possessed Eye and bear head bomb if you have trouble against it with low health pet. And strength of the para scroll, all of them can be earned easily if you battle and have a pet that manage to earn them. That should help I guess:P

I've scoured the guides and old boards and can't find anything - does anyone have any tips/info about chain freezing opponents? I see it listed as advice for how to beat many T12-13 opponents but not really sure what the best way to do it is. Also wondering what mod crystals are best to go on permanently for going against the hardest opponents in the game. Do people usually just go all parched baguette, or are we using freezing crystals to assist with chain freezing? A mix of both? Is unstable fairy scroll the best infinite to be using for heal/freeze potential or do people still stick to extra icon/heal scrolls like aftershocks at this level?

• Chain freezing is (typically) starting with a 100% freezing weapon, then using all of your freezing scrolls in a row until you run out. If your opponent doesn’t die before you run out of freezing scrolls, you can also stagger them (like using one every other turn instead of every turn) when your health is high to make them last a bit longer. The strategy won’t work as well now that their freezing rates have been lowered, but chain freezing is still useful to make some battles easier.

• Which mod crystals to use will generally depend on the opponent, but if you want a “set it and forget it” type of setup, I went with two parched, one blessing of natural armor, and one rose crystal for my weapons with four mod slots. If you only have three slots, nix the rose crystal. It worked pretty well for me with the impossible opponents.

I don’t typically use freezing crystals because if your freezing fails, there’s a high chance of getting frozen yourself if you’re not using parched crystals against impossible opponents. When you don’t have solid freezing protection at that level, there’s a good chance you will lose because they have the highest freezing rates in the game.

• Unstable Fairy Scroll is great for big pets squeezing out extra wins for the high score tables, otherwise I mostly use Strength of the Paramnesia, Aftershocks, etc. (basically any infinite use scroll that heals, attacks, and defends each turn) for regular battling.

Overall, battling strategy can be subjective and you should experiment to determine what method(s) you like best. Sometimes there isn’t really a wrong answer, so feel free to find your own playstyle.
