Looking for opinions on two battle items: Soma Tablets Captured Eternal Flame
I like the pillbox effect of Soma Tablets, but I also really like the stacking curses of Captured Eternal Flame, especially since my pet's speed activates all of them.
I already have Captured Eternal Flame, and my other 7 slots are definitely filled already for my default, so I just am thinking of whether I should get Soma Tablets or just stick with my weapons as-is.
Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets are pretty much always going to be staples in your set. Their effect is similar to a weapon being disabled for a turn - the opponent will be attacking less, blocking less, and possibly healing and generating curses/blessings less, on the turns where they use the junk weapon. That gives you more room to do the opposite and attack, block, and heal more. Unless the opponent generates a ton of weapons like The Faceless Ones or Lukien, it just makes sense to always be using your Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets.
To answer your question, yes, you should buy it :P It doesnโt mean you canโt still use the Captured Eternal Flame, but Iโd rank Soma Tablets as more important to your set.
I can't believe that Recycle Blaster is selling for virtually nothing atm...when one of the battle guides I read said something about being able to get good economy weapons, it was pretty accurate :)
I understand and agree with pretty much everything you say, and thank you for the advice, although I do recall a concern about stealers that can potentially steal items that do 100 percent damage to you. I don't know if that's accurate, since RB doesn't steal, it just disables, but Soma Tablets does have a chance of actually stealing from the Subetalodge info, which is my only concern with it.
I would much rather have an opponent use a 1 or 2 icon changed weapon than be able to replace a stolen one from its arsenal.
Hmmmm...something to consider at least. If everyone fought with exactly the same sets it'd get boring after a while, but I'm already using a couple of "I like them even though I know I could do better" weapons, just cuz ;)
Anyway thanks for the reply, and after looking at your profile, thanks for being generous in terms of achievement-lending :)

Oh I wouldn't worry about the stealing on Soma Tablets. 1) Because most of the stronger opponents have stealing disabled. 2) Any stolen weapons are automatically added to the end of your set. This puts them behind your infinite use weapons so it's very unlikely that you will accidentally use them.
I do agree that everyone using the same items can be boring, but there's a reason why some weapons are recommended a lot: it just makes sense to use them. When battling with my biggest pets, for the most part I usually use Volatile Energized Mecha + Recycle Blaster + Soma Tablets + whichever two constants I've picked for that opponent. My other three slots are where I get creative :P
At the end of the day, it is up to you! There's nothing wrong with going against the grain and experimenting with your own ideas :)
I see...
I thought that it was actually possible to "take 100 percent damage" (i.e. die) from stealing certain things, even without voluntarily clicking on and using them. I read that somewhere, I don't recall where exactly. Thanks for clearing that up.
I understand, thanks again for the advice.
